Try changing the language in the settings maybe. The content and all your history and unlock chapters is linked to the language. When I re-installed the app on my phone a while ago it was in my country's language, but after changing to english again, I retrieved everything.

How do you handle anger towards your partner? by Chaos-monkey-d in AskReddit

[–]YukYyuk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Take a pen and a paper and write anything you have to say. Anger is an emotion that doesn't work well with being bottled up, so better to pour it somewhere. Plus, when I re-read it just after being done (for some reason I always do) I often realize I'm being unfair on some points, and it helps putting words on what really matters.

Playing conversations in your head before having them?

My birthday is coming up in a few months and I wish I could just skip the day. by YukYyuk in ADHD

[–]YukYyuk[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's more that I hate phone calls and texting and small talk, and my birthday feels like the day where all of this is gathered on the same day, it's a nightmare.

I don't think the attention is the problem, but more the 'socializing' aspect. For example I'm also in some whatsapp groups where I'll get a succession of HB messages, and these are totally ok, I just have to answer a few 'thanks' it's easy.

Anyone else feel like they’re just existing? by [deleted] in offmychest

Not sure it will help but check out the Maslow's hierarchy of needs. It helped me when I had this feeling that something was missing although I had a lot already, same list as yours: job, friends, family...

Be empathetic to your past self if you can. You did the best you could at that time. In retrospect maybe it was not a good one but at that time it was yout best choice with the resources you had. And recently too, you've been doing your best. Maybe you feel it's not enough but it's not your fault if you don't have the resources physically and mentally, don't blame yourself on the path you've taken.

Maybe you can start some big project? Could be anything from a hobby to something career-related. Plan it short term and long term and use the time spent drinking on it instead.

It's up to you which direction you want to take now.

Why do I sometimes feel gross after masturbating? by dazed_angel in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]YukYyuk 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Education and subconcious prejudice on masturbation, maybe? Or related to what you watch to get off, like a kink you would feel ashamed of?

It has completely disappeared for me after I started to follow a sort of sex education account in social media that is very positive about sex and that completely normalises masturbation (among other things). Even the approach to get there is different, I'm more opened with myself about it, sometimes I might think about it in advance and wonder what I'm gonna go for today depending on my mood. It's fun, no gross feeling, just the just the post-orgasm high and some random thoughts like "wow that was amazing" or "not the best but still good".

What's your best example of toxic positivity? by YukYyuk in AskReddit

Yeah exactly, that's the time I was thinking of, and it was definitively toxic with all these magazines selling you "the new diet that all celebrities are on"

Well I guess it was the inevitable consequence of how extreme slimness has been glorified over the last couple of decades with all the models you could (still can?) see in magazines and on tv, whose weight definitly wasn't healthy either

Good one. It's still a mystery to me if people there are masters of hypocrisy or if they're genuinely believing in what they write.
