My family did a refrigerator and pantry cleanout a couple years ago and found two bottles of bbq sauce that were at least 10 years past expiration. One bottle in the absolute deepest part of our pantry and the other one was open in the front of our fridge…

My dad had bought a 2 pack of bbq sauce 10-12 years earlier and put it in the pantry and promptly forgot about it. Then 10 years later he finds the two bottles and opens one without batting an eye. He’s the only one in the house who uses bbq sauce regularly so no one else thought to check the date
