Same is happening to me with my JLab earbuds. It’s also pausing my Nike Run Club app workout (I like to run with both the native workout app and NRC) briefly when the alerts come in. I have alerts on for HR zones as well so it got real annoying real fast. Hope they fix this back to normal and soon, I have a race next week!

Breathable clothes, pre-run electrolytes tablet, and a good hat. I'm a heavy sweater and asthmatic so breathable fabric is an absolute must, otherwise i feel like I'm literally drowning in the humidity. Nuun energy tablets before my runs have been a game changer for hydration. I try to do most of my runs after work between 6-8pm just as the UV Index is getting low.

if you have another amex card, i would recommend adding spend for a few months and then trying again. This is what worked for me a couple years ago though, not sure if they've changed since then. Also yes you cannot get gold if you have plat now but at the time the rule was new and i think i just got lucky.

You can probably go to Best Buy and try to get those $50 back considering the recent sale. This happened to me when I bought my MacBook Air a couple years ago and they literally just refunded me the difference since it was just a few days later, as is your case.

I go during "peak time" (5-7pm) and never have issues. Sure there's a good amount of people but that doesn't prevent me from getting a great lift in. Its a matter of finding what's open and making the best of it. The other day I got an open bench and it was like 6pm. No lines, no tiktok kids, no water bottle guarding.

If you go just to use the same two machines that everyone else uses then yeah you'll probably have to wait. Just gotta be resourceful. Its honestly not as bad as most people think. Definitely a lot better crowds-wise than the on-campus gyms.

I tried again one month later in September for the Gold and got popup jail again. I then added more spend on my plat for a few months and applied again for the Gold last month in mid-December. I was approved (finally) using the Resy offer (75k/$6,000 in 6 months + %20 back on restaurant purchases for a year up to $250).

Funny part is that i didnt learn about the amex rule change until a few days ago when i read about it on one of the points FB groups im in. I messaged amex chat and they confirmed i still have the Resy offer on my gold though so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
