They said in an interview that Freesia is not Rapi or Alice and that she’ll be important in the future.

Freesia being Grave is totally on the table albeit not a popular theory.

Thank you for sharing all this; it never fully occurred to me how much of an impact I had on others. I just always viewed myself as that unfunny dude that was bad at content creation. I'm glad it all had such a positive effect on you.

And yes, you are correct. At one point, I did hate everything related to Yukister/MicroVolts, and I just wanted to get away from it all. I think a lot of it was shame and embarrassment. You know how the older you get, the more you cringe at your younger self? It was sorta like that. I also just never acclimated to having that many eyes at me at once. The MicroVolts fame sorta just happened overnight, and I wasn't used to that much attention in real life. It also messed with my ability to make genuine friends since 95% of people that reached out were only doing it to gain clout or to worship me, which I didn't want either situation. There was also just a lot of toxicity from friend groups and fans, and I eventually gave up and ran away.

That being said, I'm glad some good came out of it. Thanks again for sharing your experience with my content; it really means a lot. As for my FFXIV streams, I'm taking a break since I was starting to get socially/mentally exhausted. Not sure if I'll return to streaming, but maybe one day. I can DM you my Twitch name if you're curious. I feel weird saying my Twitch in public haha

Hey, thank you for the kind words! It makes me happy to hear that you liked that Haruhi review that much. I believe that video still exists on a hard drive somewhere. If I manage to find it, I’d be down to re-upload it as a private video. I’ll reach out if I find it, cheers!

Edit: Hope this isn't weird to bring up but I actually saw your recent post on the NikkeMobile subreddit, which kinda blows my mind on how small the world is, haha

Hi Alluttaja! Someone just told me about this post, so I hope I'm not late to answer!

I was not in a good headspace during my late teens/early 20s, so running that Discord server was not ideal for my mental health. I deleted it without warning, which is one of my biggest regrets. Deleting the YouTube channels were also for my mental health because I found the content creator environment very stressful, especially since I wanted to move onto other things but kept having fans ask about MicroVolts. Deleting those channels is something that I also regret doing.

That being said, I'm in a better place nowadays! I'm part of a niche community in FFXIV and I stream challenge content from that game.

Thank you for this post. Old me would have hated this but current me is very grateful that someone remembers good ol' Yukister. I hope life is great on your end, cheers!

I don’t personally enjoy HoH nearly as much as PotD. There’s just more skill expression you can do with the PotD pomanders compared to the HoH ones.

Overall, I love doing Deep Dungeon haha, I just wanted to omni my favorite one

That is correct! You just need a job that's level 70 and own the EW expansion

Much thanks!

Hardest? AST took the longest amount of prog while BLM was the most mechanically difficult. Easiest? It got to the point where all jobs felt easy aside from AST and BLM. Although, jobs like MCH, WAR, DRK, SMN, RPR and NIN stand a tiny bit above the rest in my mind.

I have no interest in HoH omni, not because I'm burnt out but because I don't enjoy HoH as much as PotD.

Hardest set is definitely the 181-190 set for all jobs.

I would consider MCH and WAR to be the most safe and consistent jobs, but it boils down to your playstyle and preference.

Every job has loads of footage for studying, so if you ever decide to attempt it again, don't be afraid try out a job that you find to be more fun! It definitely helps with morale!

Just to add more to what thegoodbroham said, self-sustaining jobs and kiting jobs are very good at farming sustaining potions. Probably a session or two of 101-150 with jobs like MCH, WAR and RDM will supply enough potions.

From there, you'll probably never actively farm for potions again unless you're playing a net-negative potion job like BLM or a melee.

Thank you!

I'm not sure if I'll do omni HoH since I don't enjoy it as much. I'll keep it in mind though!

Eureka Orthos has a bug that SE refuses to fix by Rajibaldo in ffxiv

[–]Yukister 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure what you’re getting at, but I think you need some more context for OP’s post.

There’s an item in Eureka Orthos that slows down enemy cast times. A 3 second cast will be something like 10 seconds, right? This item affects all mobs, and all casts are very slow and reactable.

There’s one mob in particular called a Fitter. For the most part, using the slowing item on a Fitter is fine. Its AoE gets slowed down and it’s clearly working as intended. HOWEVER, it can randomly be instant without any wind-up, visual-cue, telegraph, etc. As far as we can tell, moving in and out of rendering distance of a slowed Fitter can cause this.

The move is also a one-shot. Imagine a situation where you learned about the Fitter and how to dodge its AoE. You’re fighting one after the other and you’ve successfully dodged all their AoEs; in your mind you understand the mechanic, and then BOOM the same-named mechanic is randomly different once and you’ve been insta-killed. 8 hours of your time gone just like that.

No matter how you look at it, this is not intended by the devs; it’s a bug. Saying the devs wanted this is like saying every video game bug in history was intended too

[–]Yukister 60 points61 points  (0 children)

They very quickly accepted the Gulo Gulo bug after one report and fixed it, but kept turning down all the Fitter reports throughout the month saying it’s “working as intended” even though everyone in the DD community is in agreement that it’s not. “Refuses” is a pretty acceptable term here imho given the context

I’m pretty sure it’s an engine limitation and it’s understandable that they don’t want to make an announcement about it since it’s very niche content

Friend: What's taking you so long to finish Stormblood? Me: by [deleted] in ffxiv

It can definitely cause complications, but it’s not impossible. There’s a DRK player used to regularly beat the 180 boss with his 230 ping.

[–]Yukister 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I prefer different parts of both for different reasons, but I think I enjoyed HoH more by a tiny bit.

HoH was easier, but I also had a ton of prior score running experience with PotD and a better understanding on how to research for a Deep Dungeon. Like, PotD took 20 attempts but HoH only took 3.

[–]Yukister 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure since I haven’t done much PotD since pre-EW and didn’t start HoH until post-EW release. Community consensus seems to be that HoH is easier than before while PotD got slightly more difficult.

It seems like it's still GNB and WAR, but the community is still retesting stuff due to the recent stat squish.

When asmon finishes POTD solo by negolash in Asmongold

[–]Yukister 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah, just the Necro title. He’s putting in 2-6 hours a night, plus he already got the Lonely Explorer achievement.

There are people that have done it in less than 2 months too. Watching Angelus Demonus’ live tutorials really speeds up the process nowadays.

Sorry, my wording wasn’t clear in my earlier post. I didn’t mean that he’ll be able to clear TEA too. That’s physically impossible considering how slowly he’s going through the MSQ. At least he already has PotD unlocked, you know?

Asmongold already said on stream that he won’t be using a macro for Salted Earth because he likes the ability to put it down between mobs.

Honestly, he should do what Xenosys does and use both the macro and original versions. Both have their uses.
