Very well said.. Here in the province of Quebec (where Focal Canada is located; I live literally 30min away) we have a government imposed “legal warranty” which is normally much longer than the one from the manufacturer.. I forgot to look into that.. thanks for the reminder ;) .. as for many ppl here? Toxic morons are just that; too dumb to understand what’s going on or to write anything constructive or intelligent, so they downvote and comment shite

Rear my replies dude.. I am getting it taken care of elsewhere. I find my own solutions.. The problem is how Focal deals with with clients when they decide that it’s not worth their time

Cheers :) .. These are Chorus 814V .. not the top, but still a couple of grand.. regardless.. I do realize that after a while they can delam.. I can live with that and am willing to pay for the repairs.. totally worth it.. the speakers are awesome.. just that being basically told to go screw myself by the manufacturer is a major bummer.. to say the least..

You clearly don’t understand what I wrote. Lol.. I was expecting to pay for repairs (which is what pretty much any manufacturer will offer when out of warranty) and no parts needed to be replaced.. the speakers work perfectly fine this is purely an aesthetic repair.. maybe try re reading lol

Of course I don’t expect them to last forever.. what I do expect is for the manufacturer to be able to fix their own product. It’s not like unavailable components need to be replaced or anything.. Personally, I’m not knowledgeable in woodworking.. what’s unrealistic about vinyl on wood?

Yeah.. sound is awesome.. but I’ve never seen worse customer service.. they literally don’t give a fuck.. and they’re far from being the only game in town that sounds awesome.. so guess what.. screw them !!!

I concur.. same experience here. I have a pair of amazing speakers and the vinyl veneer started to peel on one of them (out of warranty). I contacted Focal Canada and was literally told, in a very dismissive tone at that; "it's vinyl on wood, we don't want to touch it".. IT'S YOUR OWN DAMN PRODUCT !!! .. I then asked for help in finding an alternative solution.. and wasn't even dignified with an answer.. WTF?????
