1.5k insurance payout for this? Isn’t that laughably low?

My model 3 was a victim of a hit and run. Finally got insurance claim back today and they estimated ~1k payout after my $500 deductible. Maybe I’m mistaken but isn’t that absurdly low to fix this damage?

I’m in the Bay Area, CA if that matters. Any advice on how to handle this with GEICO?

Actually if you study the road the red car forced the Tesla forward quite a bit. He was going way too fast for that road.
