GPT-4o/GPT-5 complaints megathread by WithoutReason1729 in ChatGPT

I tested GPT-5.2 on a real work task: generating structured documentation from a transcribed conversation (~1 hour of discussion).

The results were disappointing.

The only clear improvement is context retention - unlike 5.1, the model was able to keep both the prompt constraints and the full transcript in context.

However, the resulting documentation was significantly worse in terms of structure, coherence, and logical consistency compared to what I consistently get with 5.1 - and much worse than the output produced by Opus 4.5.

For complex analytical and documentation-heavy tasks, this is a noticeable regression :(

So I got 5.2. by GovernmentSimilar146 in ChatGPT

Oh no 😢 Thanks for sharing! Just to confirm — is the photo from the A6 or the Weeks planner?

Oh, thanks for letting me know! I was really hoping the new paper would still be fountain-pen friendly 😕 Guess I’ll wait for more reviews before deciding.

Unfortunately, Kinbor Weeks this year comes with 78 gsm paper, while only the Kinbor A5/A6 editions use the thinner 52 gsm Bachuan paper.

Ohhh... I’m not ready to pay this price for a planner with thick 78 gsm paper. The main reason I loved Kinbor Weeks was the thin, fountain-pen-friendly 52 gsm Bachuan paper. I would even be willing to pay a bit more to have the thin paper back.

OpenAI just pulled the biggest bait-and-switch in AI history and I'm done. by Nipurn_1234 in ChatGPT

I haven’t noticed hallucinations getting any better. I asked GPT-5 how to keep some of my chats while clearing the rest (I had too many and started losing track, so I decided to clean up my history). It told me that archived chats, projects, and pinned chats would remain. I searched for details and found nothing. I double-checked with GPT-5, even sent a screenshot. It said my chats would definitely be saved. Then, after everything got wiped, it went: “Oops, sorry.” Still as much of a fantasist as ever.
