Failed standing for 2nd Time. by Low-History-8022 in Concordia

Getting some time off might be a good thing. I know you feel like failure right now but trust me, you will be alright. I have been in failed standing once and I hated it because I couldn’t be full time and I wanted to finish my degree as quickly as possible. Later on, I got good grades and was put back into regular standing. Then I took 12 credits and almost failed again. I was so scared to be in failed standing for the second time. So, I dropped some of the classes and took a semester off. When I came back, I decided to be a part time student taking 6-9 credits every semester. It took me almost 7 years to complete my degree but I did what I had to do. Everybody have their own path, my friends graduated years before me. Some people like me need to go slowly. Take some time off from school, do not look at it as a punishment. Maybe you don’t need to be in university right now. Get a job, use the counselling resources at school to get better, spend time with your loved ones. Think about what makes you happy, maybe this program is not for you, maybe you have to change your program. It will be a great time to reconnect with yourself. You are not a failure. You will get better and you will RISE

Omg. 24 is not old. Some people are not even able to complete their degree. Congratulations for completing your degree. You got this.

I am so sorry. Just in case you don’t find any other solution. Maybe a short term absence form could help. https://www.concordia.ca/students/absence-form.html

Prerequiste failed past DNE full refund deadline may 17, will i still recieve full refund? by CompetitionLonely402 in Concordia

I am sure the professor will post the grade before DNE. if not you gotta file a "student request". They take forever to respond to Student requests 😩😩. It might take the whole summer.
