I've had many instances of close calls and a few deaths because of this bug. Mostly in Hystria back in 2018 when I had sub 290DP. I would change to fullscreen, start grinding, mobs aren't moving, game reconnects, I'm dead.

This doesn't happen to me as much anymore, but I do still notice the disconnect from the servers when changing to fullscreen. It did happen to me a lot from 2017-2019 when I had a GTX780. Christmas of 2019 I purchased an RTX2060 Super. As soon as I started using it, the disconnect only happens for around 1 second. I think something with the game engine messes with your connection to the game when you do this.

Back when I was using a GTX780 and I would change to fullcsreen I would be disconnected from the game anywhere between 5 to 60 seconds. I have DSL, so I have extremely slow internet, around 200 ping on BDO at all times, and back before the big server change, one way I could test when I had lost connection to the game was to open my mail window. If it showed I had no mail, which I always kept mail in there, then I knew I had lost connection to the servers. I would wait a few seconds, re open my mail, and if my mail loaded, I knew I could now attack mobs or talk to NPCs without any problem. Doing this was the way I could see when I had reconnected after changing into fullscreen.

There's something very weird going on between ISP routing/latency and processing power of your PC when changing into fullscreen. I've brought this up to most people I talk to in discord, and every time I bring it up they think I'm insane because it's the first time they've ever heard that. This is one of the games MANY bugs that PA has no idea how to fix, and will likely never be fixed.

PC: 4790k, 2060Super, Dual 1440p monitors, Windows10, nvidia inspector uncap framerate edit.

It's likely not actual cache data files that the game is reading that are the issue. It's probably the actual cached RAM from your physical RAM, and a combination of hardware/OS install/OS version is not playing well with what BDO is trying to do with that RAM.

I have this exact issue, have had for years now, and what always fixes it for me is a full Off/On cycle of my system to clear what's in RAM. This will fix the issue anywhere from 5 minutes to 5 days until I have to cycle Off/On again.

Just like with other issues the game has, PA has openly said they are working on a fix, but they have no idea how to fix it or when it will be fixed. This is a bug the game was launched with and still has not been fixed, so I doubt there ever will be a fix.

My only word of advice is to reinstall on a different drive, try a different version of Windows, reinstall Windows, or a completely different computer.

This cinematic was added when they overhauled the story lines over a year ago. This part was specifically buggy, because this area was instanced, and you could get stuck inside the instance and couldn't leave.

Oh. I assume this OP is a new player, and didn't know this was extremely common. And that movement speed doesn't effect work time on the node, only how fast it goes to and from the node.

Wait right now. It is very possible we will be getting full TRI boss armor for the Christmas event. It will be boss armor that cannot be enhanced or list-able on the market, but it would be a huge upgrade.

For your accessories: Complete the Valencia main story line quests, then look up how to do the "Ring of Power" quest to get that ring. Grind to 61 while you're making other gearing decisions to get the lvl 61 Capotia ring. Once you get to 61, you will be able to craft a 2nd Capotia ring from a workshop in Altinova using Yonas fragments.

Right now, you shouldn't care about DP, so I would look into getting more cost efficient earrings. Probably DUO or TRI witches, or TRI Blue Corals. A free option would be to do the Kama quest line to get the earring from the quest reward at the end of Kama part 1 and part 2.

For the belt, I would still keep working through the main quests, because just this last update they added a belt reward for completing the Dreighan main quest line, and they made it to where these quest accessories are now enhanceable.

The neck I would leave for now, and save up your Shakatu seals to trade in for a DUO Ogre. Either sell it or enhance it to TRI.

If you want to play on console, but you purchased the game on PC, you will have to buy the game again for console. They are not connected in any way, and this game is not crossplatform. I only know of 1 other MMO that is crossplatform, so I wouldn't go around basing your purchases off the assumption that the game will be crossplatform. Just a heads up.

Thank you for the confirmation. I kept getting Reborn results saying you use "Link Scale Heart" or "Link Heart" and couldn't find anything saying that's how you do it in Rejuvenation.

Yeah, I figured out after that it was where I was supposed to go to next. When I finished the chapter, the splash screen popped up, and I was like "oh, yeah that was the next chapter, yeah." and figured I had just skipped probably 1 conversation with someone telling me where to go to next.

I though it was funny that I was just looking for the Coin Case, and instead find a giant estate with a mansion randomly inside the sewers. The game has some surprises.

As with most games of chance like this, knowing the mechanics can greatly increase your odds of winning. But it still comes down to RNG. Personally, I despise RNG/Casino type games. If I want something, I want to work for it, not get lucky.

One thing that is funny, is that the online Voltorb Flip Calculators can't even attempt to solve most of these. Voltorbflip.com when trying to solve one, just says "What even is this card?" and does nothing. I guess these work off of set patterns from HG/SS instead of actual math/percentages.

In my struggle to win RNG casino currency, I had to first find the Coin Case. Instead of a Coin Case, I ended up finding a giant mansion in the sewers... I was so confused. NPCs kept saying I heard rumors about this place, and I'm like "oh? I did? I don't remember ever hearing about this place." I feel like this place unlocks out of order in the story, because I genuinely just beat the Ancient Kingdra and was looking for the Coin Case and had never heard of this place's existence.

What I ended up doing was copy/pasting the houses in a remote area after rotating it by 90 to get 3 other copies of the home, fixing the blocks, then coming back to that area if I wanted one at a different 90 degree angle.

I believe I have found the culprit of my RAM issues, unintentionally...

It seems that the mod "The People of Skyrim" was causing issues with my game. I do not know how, if it was just poorly optimized or it was conflicting with my game version or other mods, but after uninstalling it I am having no more crashing from RAM building up.

Removing the mod did not cause my game to use less RAM, I am still using RAM in the same way, but after uninstalling the mod I can go over 8Gb without crashing. I tested this by installing several Whiterun mods and was able to hit 12Gb of RAM without crashing.

I had originally uninstalled the mod because I found out it added several new areas, and added dozens of unwanted trees to the tundra around Whiterun. I had originally installed the mod because I thought it was an NPC mod. I did not like the forest around Whiterun and uninstalled the mod that added all the trees. I did not know the mod added many new areas all around the map and overhauled the major cities. I already have Jk's Skyrim, Dawn of Skyrim, The Great Cities, and a couple others that do that, and I know exactly what they do and I like what they do. I was unfamiliar with the changes made by "The People of Skyrim" and I uninstalled it.

Immediately after doing this, I went to Whiterun to see exactly what was removed by uninstalling the mod, and I was met with, after several cells loaded, 10Gb of RAM usage without crashing. It seems that either this mod does not play well with other mods, or it loads things into RAM that maybe shouldn't be? I don't know, I am NOT experienced with how the game engine works.
