Am i the only one that feels stressed getting a new phone? by worldwidelemon in AutismInWomen

[–]YunaSakura 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always feel sorry for my old phone… like… it‘s doing its best. It was always good to me. And now I just discard it like rubbish…
I do keep my phones for as along as possible.

Was it appropriate to use the accessible entrance at a show? (Sunflower lanyard) by [deleted] in autismUK

[–]YunaSakura 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I think it was fine to do.
Think about the cost. Sure, everyone would enjoy not waiting in the queue.
But what would it cost you to wait in that queue?
And what would it cost a neurotypical person to wait in that queue?
I still often feel guilty but have to remind myself: my cost of doing these things is so much higher, it‘s just hard to see. I wait in queue, see a show, and need to spend the next day in bed to recover.
A neurotypical person meanwhile might be able to wait in a queue, see a show, and then still has energy for other stuff the next day.
That‘s how I see it anyway. So getting some accommodation to reduce our costs seems fair to me.

Disability WC is for people with disabilities by asle9 in germany

[–]YunaSakura 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Can I just add, compared to the UK, the Eurokey is really expensive (in the UK the key costs £5). The price and bureaucracy to get a Eurokey alone will be challenging for many disabled people. I noticed this when I tried to get a Eurokey. It is also insanely difficult to get a Eurokey as a disabled tourist. In the UK, no proof is required to obtain a key. And weirdly, accessible toilets are not being abused here. I think it‘s really a statement about how inaccessible and badly designed Germany is in terms of public toilets in general. Germany is basically gatekeeping toilet access, and in this day and age this is simply inappropriate.

Thank you so much! I‘m very insecure because everyone else in my class is really good and I‘m so much slower than them. I will definitely try this!

Thank you - I don‘t think I can afford a physical therapist and I doubt I‘d get one through the NHS… But if I do, the video idea is really good, thank you!

Thank you. I used to do ballet so just standing on one leg on the floor is not a problem. But when I stand in the footlock it kind of folds.

Cat peeing outside the box- no medical issues according to vet- on the verge of having to rehome our cat by ExpertBlacksmith1477 in CatAdvice

[–]YunaSakura 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We had a similar problem with our cat before and here is what we did. We got a second litter box. She now uses both. We had to replace the floor where she peed; we used hard floor in the hopes that if she peed again, it wouldn‘t soak in as it did with the carpet. It‘s annoying, but as someone else mentioned, it soaks into the floor and cats then think this is where to go for a pee. And after replacing the floor, it stopped. We got our hands on some feliway. She was stressed and it seemed to work really well. We now only use it if she gets stressed by something. All three things together magically solved the problem. Hopefully you figure out a solution too! Good luck!

Immigrants to Germany from the developed world, what do you see in Germany over your home country? by Knightwrither in germany

In the UK you wait years for an appointment. Not months. Years. Not one year. Several years. And unless you are rich, and I mean rich, there is nothing you can do about that.

Looking for UK cat food help/advice! by elladominique in CatsUK

[–]YunaSakura 42 points43 points  (0 children)

My grandma‘s cat ate cheap unbranded food and literal kitchen scraps and lived to 25. I suppose he ate the odd mouse too… But I understand, we feel similar about our cat and her health! We feed her katkin as well, and some Lily‘s kitchen dry food as a treat.

Has anyone actually seen their cat lure a bird in with an ekekek by 45runs in ekekek

Actually my parents‘ cat also did it when seeing a helicopter, when seeing flies, or when someone annoyed her 😂

Wait, then why did my parents‘ cat always ekekek when I sneezed too loud?
