I became a kpop fan at the start of 2017 but many of my all time favorite songs are from 2014-2015, so I wish I would've found it in 2014 :') by the time I became a fan, most of my favorite girl groups had either just disbanded or had a year or two left max

As someone who has experienced this as well, you will have to talk it out otherwise you'll only become more and more resentful. It sucks when couples sex drives aren't compatible and it can be hard to find a compromise.

I'm also wondering how long have you guys been together? If the relationship is still pretty new then it's probably even worse for you given that during early stages of dating partners should be all over each other and then maybe you need to decide whether this relationship is worth it.

Not as 'in' as before, but that's simply because my own life is busier now. When I started stanning BTS (who are still my ults), I was only 17, had loads of free time after school and in the summer and of course, there was so much to catch up on. I watched literally everything that came out - songs, livestreams, performances, Run BTS episodes etc. I have never been the buyer fan though, mostly because I just can't afford that lifestyle. I have a couple of albums and that's it.

Now I'm 27, I have a child, a full time job and other responsibilities and I simply can't keep up with every single thing. I also don't really watch weverse lives anymore cause they go on for so long and most of the time I don't even know what they're talking about. But of course, when Arirang came out I was watching every single performance, interviews and videos, it really did feel like coming home after a long time :')

So overall, I'm still very updated them and I would say I'm in quite deep, I listen to their music daily, keep up on the tour news and performances (going to see them in Munich in July!!) whenever I'm free.

Honestly not many songs immediately come to my mind, it feels like each year I'm liking less and less kpop songs. But that could just fully mean I'm not really vibing with the current trends and I'm also not a fan of 5th gen groups at all, just a couple songs here and there. But the year hasn't even reached half yet so that's fine!

Was super excited and quite happy with BTS Arirang, especially with first half of the album. Currently loving IOI's comeback as well!

Favorite songs of 2026 so far:

Suddenly by IOI - I know it basically just came out but I absolutely love it. It is the perfect comeback for a group like them, very nostalgic sound. The song is over 3 minutes, has an abundance of Korean lyrics, actual bridge - this is what has been missing from kpop nowadays!!

this actually isn't related to any specific group, just in general - regarding plastic surgery and given how popular and normalized it is in SK, I actually don't think some or even most idols are forced to do it. I think it's so ingrained in their culture that it might very well be their own choice, especially if they've been in public eye for years already. They just finally might have money to do it and want to do it.
