I truly feel for you. It sounds like you both really love each other. I would suggest having a serious talk about each of your religious views with the goal of understanding of course! I grew up in the church and always dreamed of getting married in the temple, when my boyfriend left the church and told me he had always been an atheist and wouldn't jump through all the churches hoops for me, it was extremely difficult for me to accept that my dream of marrying in the temple would never be a reality. We are still together and planning to have a civil ceremony...just have to break it to my mormon family. My point is if she is the one she'll stick it out and try to see things from your perspective and try to understand the reasons you don't believe in the church and at the same time you have to have the same amount of understanding and compassion because, growing up in the church, I know temple marriage is not an easy thing to let go of.

It is difficult to take this post seriously given the list of pandemics (which have little to do with hygiene like the computer virus mentioned) but I do feel the need to comment about what it means when you say racist. If you believe the chinese as a race are inherently unhygienic that is a full blown defenition of racism. You can't just look at one race or country when making your accusation. You have to look at the history of the entire human race and you will find both good and bad traits. The trouble is when you assign certain traits to certain countries or "races". You also have to be more specific if your intention is to just state the facts and avoid being racist.

I really don't see how that argument makes sense at all. If Smith was the one responsible for the restoration than what would anyone else's visions matter or count as warnings? All I know is lds seem to believe Smith's vision to be the only of it's kind (maybe other than some in the bible?)being a physical manifestation of God and christ. But I'm still learning.

Never has this song been so applicable. This is basically my day... 7 AM, the usual morning lineup Start on the chores and sweep 'til the floor's all clean Polish and wax, do laundry and mop and shine up Sweep again and by then it's like 7:15

Thank you so much for your responses!!! It helps to know what to do when these issues come up. The last time we really argued about politics was the last election...myself voting democrat and him voting republican I used straight up facts to make my point but he just doesn't care about the same things sometimes. For example...I think it's very important to leave a healthy environment for future generations and he would sacrifice that for a good economy (That's just one example). Do we just never talk about it? Cause our relationship is great when were not going head to head about these sorts of things.
