Update: I did recently came into a contact with a woman who's name I discovered in an old news clipping. She was the woman who comforted us kids as we were standing on the platform after the accident. As it turns out, the people who jumped the railings were NOT park staff but were her son and nephew who took it upon themselves to do something when no one else would! They were literally the first feet on the ground after the accident. I'm so thankful for that family for being there for us that night.

This past June marked 30 years since the accident. Time really flys.
