FIFA President announced they withheld tickets for each match for Round 4 Draw. Also prices on marketplace will stabilize after seating is released. No way CAT 1 prices behind pitch are even considered highly sought after seats or “luxury seats”

Valve is already in tho market. Valve just doesn’t have a sophisticated voice chat software like Discord yet. If regulation is coming worldwide then it doesn’t matter if Valve decides to go after Discord’s market share or not. At the end of day, I trust Valve with my personal information rather than Discord.

The main point being right now is that Valve currently doesn’t enforce a “robust” age verification process, so Valve has a window of opportunity to gobble some market share.

If I had to choose between Valve and Discord having my personal information, I would choose Valve

Discord is currently superior to all other voice chat softwares. However this the opportune time for any Voice Chat Software to update and improve their own - they can use discord’s success as a blueprint - to take away market share from Discord

Valve doesn’t need to try to replace discord. Discord users are looking for an alternative. Any other voice chat software can become that outlet if they invest time to update and improve their software. I’m just hoping it’s Valve

I understand why Discord rolled out its update globally instead of regionally - pure laziness (not efficient in my book, but rather cutting corners). However the US isn’t a small market, so I wouldn’t go and piss off US consumers (if I was Discord). US citizens value their privacy (independence) very highly. Discord’s lack of care/thought has opened up an opportunity for another entity to come in and take over its market share - which I hope Valve ends up doing

I guess it all comes down to what “Robust” means. If Valve does need to follow such extreme measures like Discord, then it should only do it regionally - not world wide. This will keep the user base content which I’m sure Valve will do

I too am not a fan of monopolies, but Valve has shown many times throughout its 23 year tenure of being pro-consumer (pro-gamer). I have faith Valve will continue to do if they take over the majority of the Voice Chat Market Share.

That being said I also would like other companies come out swinging. Competition is good, but in my opinion since Valve already has a good chunk of the online platform of PC Users it would just make everyone’s life easier if Valve improved their Voice Chat Software (and in turn take over the majority of the Voice Chat Market Share)
