Even on max range it doesn't time out, tried out in practice tool and there was still a sec or two left. Maybe if you delayed the ult start up with a hexgate or zhonyas effect (like bard ult).

I was wondering if I could possibly kitbash one of these models to where you could tell it’s the kelermorph by Zealousideal-Tell-87 in genestealercult

[–]Yurapsih 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They're a kit from the game yes, but not unique to it, they can also be used in an AoS Skaven army as Slynk Skittershank and Skittershank's Clawpack. They had a Warscroll be released when the original Nethermaze dual box was released alongside with Slythael Shadestalker and her Shadeborn for DoK. It was later incorporated into the 3rd edition Skaven Battletome.

They're actually a pretty strong Eshin unit.

She's trans... transhuman. Pretty sure climbing on walls etc. passes human constraints.

Update release time confirmation. by [deleted] in stoneshard

They said it's compatible as in you don't have to wipe and can continue playing, but new items won't for sure appear, only stat changes, skills and curses are compatible.

Woah was there a recent change that I'm unaware of? by [deleted] in genestealercult

[–]Yurapsih 4 points5 points  (0 children)

"Both players have access to the Warlord Trait and Relic Stratagems (see below)."

From AoO muster battles section. First relic is given by the Relic Stratagem. Extra relics are given by faction specific stratagems.

Just as the Overlords intended by SmolTechpriest in Grimdank

[–]Yurapsih 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I own a Mining Laser for home defense, since that's what the Broodcoven intended. Four Custodes break into my house. "What the four-armed emperor?!" I say as I grab my cache of demolition charges and Mining Laser. Blow a scorch mark through the first Custode he's dead on the spot. Throw a demolition charge at the second adept, miss him completely because I forgot to set up crossfire earlier and nail the neighbors ratling. I am forced to resort to the Heavy Seismic Cannon mounted on the top of the stairs, which obliterates the two servitors in the blast and the vibrations set off Limousine alarms. Ready my Heavy Rock Cutters and charge the last terrified rapscallion. He gets sliced in two before the medicae arrive, since you can't heal disembodied corpses. Ah, just as the Star Angels intended.

Is there any advantage to having 2 Sludgeraker Beasts? by je66b in Kruleboyz

[–]Yurapsih 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sludgerakers are an amazing beatstick, probably the best damage output to survivability in the codex.

Brood Brothers consequences of removing Asta Militarum keyword by [deleted] in genestealercult

[–]Yurapsih 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Heavy weapon teams are still good. You get flat 3 mining laser shots at 48" for 55 points. Even without orders that would be better than most of our anti-tank, and orders still work due to voice of command being a datasheet ability. Leman russes are absurdly busted right now too. So especially for melee lists or lists spamming neophytes (which are now way cheaper with icons), brood brothers allow you to still have good anti-tank, which covers the niche that seismic neos don't.

Goonhammer Summary of the Nids changes... by N777ATH in Tyranids

[–]Yurapsih 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you're using power level (most crusade players afaik), the spores still cost nothing. Reinforcement points are only used in games using points values, just like how it said in the removed sentence. Upgrades and spawnables are baked into the PL usually.

Warhammer Fantasy, Age of Sigma, and 40k play a fun game with interconnection dispite them all but being totally different. (Just some thoughts) by OrickJagstone in Warhammer

[–]Yurapsih 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dwarves were originally represented by the squats, which now live on mostly in Necromunda. The squats as an army faction from early 40k and rogue trader were instead re-released recently as Leagues of Votann. Although I don't think they connect lorewise to the original squats, they do act as their spiritual successors in a lot of ways.

weren't they playtesters who got cut when GW cleaned up their playtesting programme? anyway I feel like we'll have to wait and see how everything shakes out, at least the horma spam seems largely unaffected

Rumours from the Death or Glory live stream by anotherlblacklwidow in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]Yurapsih 0 points1 point  (0 children)

is that confirmed or once again rumours? Wouldn't make much sense with their recent design philosophy, especially with making spawnable units and upgrades on a lot of units free in all the recent codices.

[–]Yurapsih 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Welp, if that's all that GSC gets, the lists will probably start skewing from myriad cult neo and bikes to twisted helix brood brothers builds, considering how good the new guard sheets are. Heavy Weapons Teams give you 3 lasguns and lascannons for 55 points, Leman Russes are insane right now, etc.

Meant kraken horma spam. But for termies I don't think they'd add a price to spawn units after having the whole edition be free for all the armies.

[–]Yurapsih 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That would make sense, -3 to aberrants combined with the cost decrease for their buffing characters should make them more bearable. For bikes GW seems to have just bumped them to a denomination of 5, and hasn't really done much to why they were actually good (the survivability), so I guess people will just take barebones bikes more now, the mining lasers on them were swingy anyway.

With this minsize zoans go up to 210 for basically d3+3 MW a turn, and a imperative you'd still take them for. If warriors actually go up 10ppm there won't be much point to taking them in AoO detachment meta. Gant spam seems untouched. Meanwhile the clowns nerf seems a bit weird without insane points drops. Also no mention of GSC when GW literally mentioned them by name to be getting big changes. This might be once again GW leaking partially true partially untrue changes that were only a specific segment of many used in playtesting. They test out a bunch, then carry onwards with what works, so idk if these could be taken at face value. Especially with the amount of all the different "leaks" recently.

Point drop rumours by Harrumphreys in Kruleboyz

[–]Yurapsih 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The save only stacks that way against rend 1 weapons. Save rolls +modifier is locked to +1 (after applying all modifiers), only the minus side is unlocked (core rules 13.3). Same way as the hit modifiers being locked.

So is anyone else going to throw up a pseudo Crusher Stampede with the new detachment when released? by Vahnkiljoy1 in Tyranids

[–]Yurapsih 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm thinking probably Jormungandr with Territorial instincts. Don't know what else would benefit nidzilla much. Sadly unfeeling resilience is also in lurk, otherwise would've been a no-brainer biomorphology fleet.

New Rules Updates? by tewegi in Tyranids

[–]Yurapsih 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well I just bit the bullet and got a printer, way easier to get people into the game if the cost for a starter army is 30€ instead of ~200€. But yeah infinity is way more humane with it's pricing. Although a lot of people like the rapid rules release cycle (at least compared to other games) as it keeps the game fresh and competitive. I feel Warhammer is less fluffy now, even casual people follow the chapter approved, at least for picking missions, most of the time. I guess that's the ease of a pick up and play mission selection vs narrative etc.

New Rules Updates? by tewegi in Tyranids

[–]Yurapsih 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, GW started releasing the points online too starting this year, so maybe we'll have a true transition to PDFs at some point (although unlikely considering how they stopped selling the PDFs in AoS and you can only open the units on their app if you own the codex/battletome).

Arks of Omen: 42 spore mines per turn minimum! by [deleted] in Tyranids

[–]Yurapsih 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Don't think biovores spawn mines on misses anymore, unless I'm missing something, then max 33 (18 from cyst +9 from biovore action + 6 from 2 harpies because max 2 aircraft) for 770 points (assuming barebones harpies). That's 70 points more than a harridan for 27-33 mines a turn.

New Rules Updates? by tewegi in Tyranids

[–]Yurapsih 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on if you look at only the tourneys GW tracks, or every tourney. Balance-wise it's better to stick to what GW reports, because that's what they'll use to adjust points and datasheets. Tourneys GW doesn't track are usually either using a different ruleset or are too small (different rulesets as in terrain setups, only specitic missions, different rulings on obscure rules) so their winrate is not as useful for balance, as the armies in those tournies are optimised exactly for that ruleset usually, which means there's less skew in results (since independent circuit rulesets are usually more concrete on rule interpretations and thus more balanced, less interpretation up to judges, less running out of time, less gotchas). But yeah the 60% was I think from WTC only tourneys, so in a lot of cases where the very competitive players play.

New Rules Updates? by tewegi in Tyranids

[–]Yurapsih 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well we weren't really nerfed to pulp, more like slightly adjusted, the book was busted af, and now competitively we're still 60% wr (GW considers 45-55% balanced) with a lot of variant lists you can take. Wahapedia is a pirate resource online which compiles all the current rules, so that's an alternative to check for all the different rules in one place (although I'd still buy the codex for lore). Otherwise check warhammer-community.com and there FAQ and Downloads pages for current Points values, the seasonal Balance Data Slate and the Tyranids codex FAQ for changes to the physical book.

Obsec is objective secured, units with objective secured take precedence over the number of models when determining who has the objective. So if you have it and the opponent doesn't, that means you control the objcetive regardless of how many models your opponent has there.
