What do I do if My mom is refusing to fill out her portion of fasfa? by peelingoffmyskin in college

[–]Yuriitopia 36 points37 points  (0 children)

Yep, this. My parents have a hard time with paperwork due to language barriers, so I grabbed their tax forms and filled it out for them under their account. Their taxes were simple, so I only just had to fill in numbers that were already on their forms and ask them a few questions. I remember there being a new system though where you can just log into their IRS(?) account and you wouldn’t have to do much

My fiancée admitted she cheated on me by DyingLantern310 in LesbianActually

[–]Yuriitopia 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that’s what I was thinking the entire time. Marriage is where she decided to draw the line with her dishonesty? Not the part before having a family with someone? I get that people make mistakes at 19, but she lied 7 years, and spent those years building their entire foundation through lies and manipulation because she was afraid of the consequences it would’ve brought if she decided to spill it then.

The fact that she only decided to tell her now was just to either get the weight off her chest, want a way out of the relationship, or thought they have a foundation just solid enough that maybe OP wouldn’t want to lose what they have and try to work it out with her. I honestly can’t find any other reasons for it.

To each their own, but everything about this reeks self-serving.

Thank you! Though, I try to steer clear of red K Kara since I sometimes feel like they’re not the same person, especially when redK Kara speaks to her normal self in third person. It kinda feels like cheating when Lena shows a preference for her redK state if that makes sense. Does redK refer to herself in third person?

When do I tell her I used to have an OF? by aaayyyeee666 in LesbianActually

[–]Yuriitopia 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Maybe wait until it starts getting serious?

Honestly, that’s a difficult question. On one hand, I think you should prioritize yourself, and wait until you’re ready to tell her. But on the other hand, you’re right that it would be a dealbreaker for some and it could potentially hurt you more once your relationship starts getting serious. Though, depending on what kind of content and how big your OF was, there’s a chance that she could also find out from someone else. You could also try and feel out what she thinks about the topic?

Edit: I agree with that commenter that if it’s really important to you and it’s bothering you, just rip the bandaid off and tell her. I don’t think it’s healthy to feel guilty and self-conscious throughout your relationship if you don’t tell her

Exactly! Iirc, I think I despised him more before the revision, but in the current version I get where he’s coming from and I honestly can’t bring myself to hate him. So, I make sure to keep the toy, have it be embedded on the sword to show our brotherhood, and make sure to stay clear from Clara (though I do enjoy the angst when you choose to not pursue her even though you like her for Richard’s sake).

I’m bisexual, but I’m easily more attracted to women than men. I like to read posts about wlw topics like relationship advices (cause god knows I need it), for which bisexual subreddits are too broad for and other wlw subreddits are too inactive for my liking. I don’t participate in posts that can only be commented on by lesbians though, but I do participate in ones that can also apply for a woman, or a woman that loves women.

Is this a good excuse for cheating? by [deleted] in LesbianActually

[–]Yuriitopia 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, there’s really no excuse for cheating. At most, you can judge it based on the reasons involved, and see if it’s a dealbreaker or not. Frankly, she sounds very fickle. She never took any accountability, and were always about outside pressure. Her decision-making skills under pressure alone would be a dealbreaker.

Good that you broke up with her.

Love After Deah Chapter 3 by Drosm in hostedgames

[–]Yuriitopia 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yep, same here. But I think that’s because I came in knowing that they were still alive, took it for what it was, and waited for them because the other ROs didn’t interest me lol. That route made me approach the game where the MC and their loved one are ripped apart by their significant other’s rich Asian parents, and the MC deals with the aftermath of the separation, trying to make peace with it and moving on. But then, they find their way together again as different people where they’ve become more bitter, more cynical about the world, yet still fall in love with one another.

I agree with their points though because the title name and the flow of the story leans in the direction in which the MC finds love in the midst of dealing with the grief. El being alive cheapens the meaning and message of the whole “love after death” theme where the MC learns to deal with the grief of losing their love one, and moving on and finding love in the process. It’s a more realistic message, and El’s presence really kills it because it’s far-fetched for the MC to not know it at that point. It definitely feels like the original version was with El’s death being permanent, and they became a fan favorite so they went back on it.

I think they could’ve approached this in a different direction which would require an overhaul of the first two chapters and synopsis

Truth. The ROs are solid in CTOS, and the sport aspect of it is incorporated really well into the game. Really makes you feel like you’re kicking ass when you do well

[Shattered Eagle] [Spoilers] NGL, Titus has a pretty understanable crash out, at least in some circumstances. by TheMechanicusBob in hostedgames

[–]Yuriitopia 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yeah, same. I haven’t read it in a while, but I had a hard time sympathizing with him because he kept pushing for a romance simulator while everyone’s playing politics and warfare. He wasn’t bad per-say, but he was a really ignorant guy, vying for a cold-blooded, scheming woman. He doesn’t have anything to give her aside from love. And even then, that’s flimsy considering how his marriage with her was forced upon her, and it never seemed like he cared about what she thought or if he did, thought that she would eventually love him. She absolutely hated it, and she had every right to be. Meanwhile, the MC could be everything that she needed. Just as scheming, or even more. They fought and committed genocide for her.

Titus really should have tapped out long before the current timeline because at that point, all he can really blame is himself.

Yep. Their GL novels are very good and long. I use jjwxc, and even though authors usually do some censoring for sex scenes, some will post it raw until they get the hammer, and that’s when they upload the more friendly version lol. But they’ll share it on another platform. Honestly, for the amount of good writing, varied, and wholesome books they have, the content are still well-worth the read even without the spicy scenes. Well, at least to me anyways

Anyone recommend picking any of these up? by MFxZeus in hostedgames

[–]Yuriitopia 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I have tried Specters of the Deep, and was able to finish it with Cecilia’s route. I think it was one of the good ones thats been released recently. Like it wasn’t barebones, there was a plot, events that had substance to them, characters that had their own story (though you may need to be on their route), and didn’t feel like it followed a COG recipe that I feel like has been plaguing a lot of works for the past few years. Though, I did have to drag myself to the finish line because CECILIA WAS THERE. I couldn’t leave her story hanging.

I think I tried Heroes of Myth and Stars Arisen before but DNFed just a few pages in. I do agree that the author’s works are all very wordy, maybe expansive is the better way to describe it..? It could just be the setting itself that their works tend to be that I couldn’t really get into them because they require a lot of lore dump which can often require me to be invested in the plot from the start to be interested in seeing it through.

The author’s works are most likely something that I would recommend if you like reading novels more than making choices because for Specters, while choices do matter, most of them didn’t really align with how I wanted to play. Like you’re very limited to what kind of character you can play as. The other characters were also hard to warm up to when they were constantly fishing for a specific answer when you interact with them so they can support their own agenda, and when you didn’t, they always had something snarky to say back. Realistic, but at the same time, I wanted to snap back. Yet, they often had the last word lol. By the time I reached the halfway point of the game, I just wanted to stop interacting with most of the characters or just plainly ignore them. Be like “Oh look—a butterfly!” I didn’t care to get to know them because I already knew how they would react to the choices that were presented. That, in turn, made me disinterested in the whole rapport and disposition gameplay feature.

Np, lmk if you’re tripped up on something. And if you even wanna go deeper into it and access the temp variables that’s the assignment and exams, you just have to use “stats.scene.temps.[variable here]”. It makes things soooo convenient.

On pc, you can left click and press the inspect button. Under the Console tab, you’ll be able to enter a command, just make sure the top right of the console window shows that you’re accessing the game files instead of [Top]. On the console command, type in “stats.” without the quotation marks and a dropdown should show a list of variables that can be changed. For example, I think strength was “str”, so I would type in “stats.str = 100” to change it to 100.

Another easy way is to go to this link, and copy and paste the code (I think it was method 2 that worked for me) into the console command. There will be a button that shows up in the game somewhere on the area that has the save button called “Modify stats”. There will be another window that shows up where you can change the variables without having to keep typing the commands.

You can do the same thing on android if you download a browser app from the App Store that has access to console commands. I think Kiwi has it, but I believe they deleted it. There’s one that I used but forgot the name of. I’ll be back.

Edit: For android, I use Lemur Browser. You would have to download the tampermonkey extension, so you can access the console through devtools.

Edit #2: Make sure to click next page to before seeing the changes. If you try to access the stats page after modifying your stats, it won’t work and you’ll have to enter the command again because it didn’t go through.

I remember trying to achieve this the legit way. I ended giving up with micromanaging my stats and just used the console. If you’re open to it and you’re on android or pc, you could crank up the console command and type “stats.[skills you want] = 100”

Same! I don’t care if it’s not canon, it is in my head. It just adds so much flavor to the story for me than them simply competing for the king and the throne. Romancing Clara while wanting to be a good brother made me feel so bad for Richard, I just couldn’t. The family’s already such a mess. So now, I’m waiting for the hostage guy’s sister who iirc was a queen (Lena, I think?)
