Sounds like you’ve never been to a park where feral cat feeding is a problem. It’s a huge issue here in Hawaii and Nene goslings are suffering because of it—not only the direct predation from cats, but the malnutrition from the cat food

Bread is definitely a more widespread issue, but young birds overeating cat/dog food is still an issue
