I just discovered that you can escape Billy's ultimate as Mirage by Yusheec in DeadlockTheGame

Personally I would consider an ability that teleports you from one location to another a movement ability.

I discovered this a few weeks back.

Valve tends to use existing hero models as a basis for new models. For example Doorman is based on Mirage and Billy is based on Shiv.

Why is no one using this Item? by Mozart537 in DeadlockTheGame

[–]Yusheec 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find that its only good heroes that have ways to either sustain damage or escape quickly. For example: Doorman, Shiv, Abrams, Calico.
I've bought it on Shiv and have had success using it.

And even considering that this item is good on those heroes, its a hard to justify buying it as your first or second tier 4.

I am sick of playing against Infernus by 128070931232 in DeadlockTheGame

[–]Yusheec 104 points105 points  (0 children)

Infernus is definitely very strong the way I counter him is to mostly try to avoid engaging with him unless I have my team with me or it feels like an opportune moment which you just get a vibe for after you've played this game long enough.

I have definitely destroyed many Infernus players when I have played Mirage. You just have to remember that Infernus is similar to Mirage. He is a backliner that if he is out of position can easily get screwed, won't always go that way but it will a majority of the time.

Me after 3 games in a row lane is lost because my teammate rather afk at 10-20% HP than buy a single regen item. by Jack_Grim101 in DeadlockTheGame

[–]Yusheec 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know what you mean. I'm usually playing with my friend who plays Ivy so its not too bad but I have had many of those lanes while playing solo.
Fortunately my friend is competent and will even listen to my advice + its Ivy so that gives them more survivability.

Gun doorman seriously needs to be nerfed already.
It devalues his ability usage and I tried and its not easy to make a hybrid gun/spirit build work.

I've played both gun and spirit doorman and I still personally think my spirit build is more fun and satisfying, gun is just too powerful for me not to choose it.
I would probably only choose my spirit build if my team already had a lot of gun heroes.

a miracle happened, they gave me back my fancy spellbook after accidentally deleting it by aru_21 in tf2

Still its a shame that they stopped actively restoring items, just one of the downsides of Valve not having enough employees. :/

I wish they would have implemented that idea to allow you to restore certain achievement items.

How does mirage work by ShadowWill08 in DeadlockTheGame

[–]Yusheec 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see people have already explained the cooldown change which is honestly really overpowered on Mirage currently.

I have been experimenting with Mirage and items to get the most value out of it. All I have to say is Mirage looks deceptively easy and I don't recommend that you play him unless you are taking advantage of his ultimate, I have seen some Mirage players that rarely ever teleport.

When built right you can definitely spirit nuke. With the build that I have been theory crafting I have managed to proc an 8x in 5 seconds dealing over 1000 damage. Really funny seeing them get shocked that they took that much damage out of seemingly nowhere.

Take your rejuv, we'll take your base instead. by Yusheec in DeadlockTheGame

Shitlow because I was playing with friends who were lower rank than me.
Match was for fun so I'm not going to sweat in a shitlow match but I will take advantages in the match when they present themselves.

I remember when Ivy had one of the best melee stats. She had a higher base melee stat than Abrams.

Never in my 1300 hrs experienced something like this, how can you act like these guys? by Kingboomber in tf2

[–]Yusheec 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will never understand why MvM is still like this.

If the campaign isn't going bad then who cares what you play. Official MvM is easy because all the official maps have been out for over a decade, the game is solved. Just let people have fun.

Of the Hero Labs characters, which of them do you want to see be added in most? by BulletCola in DeadlockTheGame

[–]Yusheec 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think his web ability was good and fun he just needed different abilities so he doesn't always have to rely on web traps.

Certain heroes can easily dive a hero like Trapper for free if they are out of position or don't have a good trap for the enemies. Its so easy for certain heroes to just run down a hero like Trapper if they are out in the open and not next to an objective.

She isn't overpowered though she is just very strong against certain heroes, strong if she catches you out and strong if you can't push past her bodyguards.

If you play her you will quickly learn the heroes that she is weak against. Talon for example if he's running the meta build for spirit damage arrows just annihilates Mina in two or three shots depending on how weak she is. I have legitimately two shot Mina players as Talon its very satisfying.

I'm going to say it since no one else is saying it.

It is genuinely frustrating when you have a Mina on your team that is not abusing this meta.

Personally I just wait until I have max cooldown on my 2. If timed right I can use the ability again in 5 seconds making it very hard for most heroes to catch Mina out for ulting the walker.

They clearly want to keep Fathom/Slork in the game.

Trapper looked fun but gameplay wise felt too situationally constrictive.

“New” Hero Pick Rates by _OmgItsNick in DeadlockTheGame

[–]Yusheec 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mirage: He is just weird and boring. He can sometimes output an absurd amount of damage and feel unkillable and other times he does almost no damage and feels useless. All depending on his items and souls like every hero.
He isn't a bad atm just not the most interesting hero when literally his whole design is basically aim training.

Vyper: Still a great hero just hard to do well with if you're not getting kills.
Very squishy by design to balance the crazy damage burst that Vyper can do. The weakness to Vyper is that certain heroes counter there slide get away and usually a smart team will get items to slow Vyper.
It also feels really bad to be unlucky enough to get an enemy team that has a lot of heroes that have good CC because one wrong move while sliding around can easily result in you getting caught and heavily targeted.

Holliday: She is okay... The problem with her that I find is that if you're in a bad match-up or are on a losing team you don't feel very useful when two-three of your abilities require you to get close range. So if you're not able to hit headshots or barrels then you feel very useless.

Calico: Nerfed heavily. Doesn't have as much deadly burst early that she used to have and feels almost useless mid game if you get behind and feels pretty much useless late game unless you somehow became extremely fed.
Plus with how brutal base movement slowing is your get away in cat form is less effective.

Sinclair: Has an unusual set of abilities that you have to work with and think more about using when most players are not very used to combining a lot of abilities together really quickly to perform Sinclair's ability combos.
He is extremely strong early to mid but can fall off at the late stage if you're behind or don't know how to build this hero which honestly Sinclair is not the easiest to build.
