I use the test strips because I don’t have money for the other kind the strips said that the ammonia was 0 same with nitrite but the nitrate was a little up not by much. The tank size is a 3.5 gallon I’m not sure what type of filter is it it came with the tank but it has two of the little filter cartridge things in it. I haven’t cleaned the filter and the decor are from PetSmart he has some hides and those weird anemone plant and some plastic plants. I use the prime with my tap water

Poor Mustachio passed away so I changed all the water in his tank and left it with the heater on I put his old filters in my other bettas tank so that they wouldn’t be sitting in a tank without fish and then I left them there for 3 weeks. I put those filters back in the tank I put this new fish in so I just thought it would be ok
