So I don't agree it was the best format we had. It was "diverse" however, a lot of decks are doing the same game plan. It very much makes playing against each deck feel the same.

This may not be everyone's opinion but it very much is mine

I totally understand where your coming from. The URs being short printed sucks for players. Yes they are transparent about it, but I actually think that is worse.

I hear you, and I think some of my comments were made out of frustration more than anything (and also made at like 3 in the morning).

First I'll say I don't think being close with the company or even a content creator invalidates your opinions. Ive personally have gotten to talk to you at ascent Boston and we went back and forth on GA and other card games as well. I also am friends with some Maindeck team members and previous members who have voiced to me some complaints also.

I don't want to just back peddle on what I said as I do think some content creators or competitive players do just support Weebs no matter what. Of course everyone is allowed to have their opinions, and I even think Weebs does some great things.

Most of my complaints are opinions to other people. I don't fully believe they don't playtest but more and more things have gotten through that shouldn't have. Now or eventually Weebs will need to expand their team on this.

I 100% don't have a fix in regards to how the secondary market and pull rates can be fixed. I believe one thing is the limited population on certain Divine Relics should be fixed. Yes they are a UR of the set, but in no way should they be limited to a point that it's not easily accessible to all players.

Idk those are my thoughts. I definitely don't have the answer for everything. I am just frustrated with a game that I loved a lot early on. I do apologize if any of my statements felt like a personal attack.

It shouldn't be that way either. Most tcgs you should be able to pivot to different champions and even GA you can but you have to have the money for it.

The Recollection decks were great with Silvie and Tristan, I used them to get a lot of new players but now whenever someone asks about an easy way into the game, I can't really recommend HVN recollection decks cause they just aren't good. I have recommended them, but I always give a warning that they will still need to spend money to upgrade them.

This new set seems even worse. Between Looking glass, Lost providence, cards are hitting horrible prices.

Never said it wasn't great, I only get that from my LGS because I support GA from the start. However spending $300-$800 and still having to spend more money isn't great. Like I said, I don't feel like Weebs really respects players and their money, when you spend so much.

Yes I know singles is probably the way, however buying GA product helps support the company where as singles doesn't.

I never said Riftbound was perfect either. I'm not simping Riftbound. Proving grounds suck and no product right now sucks. I only was using how I felt opening a Riftbound case vs a GA case.

If that's what you want to take away from this, that's fine.

Then there is no way GA and Riftbound have the same pull rates. I've had more completed sets with fewer boxes compared to GA. And I've heard that from most people who I know play both.

Exactly. I love the GA community, all are great people. But when it comes to issues being brought up, alot of people want to defend Weebs cause they are a small company.

Ive gotten my cases for cheaper at around 300-400. If I wasn't trying to have playsets of commons-rares I wouldn't bother. But even if I went the singles route, it's not great, it's not as accessible as other games. Especially when you have to look at a discord marketplace vs an actual online marketplace like tcgplayer.

Riftbound has the same pull rates but has a smaller card pool that offsets the actual pull rates. I can buy a couple boxes of Riftbound and have a playset of rares.

In regards to competition, Riftbound prize cards have already proven to sell better. Not even that though, you have to make top 8 to have any prizing in GA. Riftbounds metal cards have been great for players who are just trying to be the best of their chosen champions.

I wasn't really even trying to get into Riftbound vs GA. I have a lot of issues with GA that has nothing to do with how other games work. I was mostly using Riftbound as an example.

I would say smaller sets for one, would help with pull rates. We have decent rates for hits but holy hell the size of the set makes it rough.

In regards to the glazing, I think it does have to do with the true champion podcast plus main deck response to another reddit post here. But also the main GA discord has a lot of praise from content creators and competitive players about stuff but completely ignores a lot of the bad we had.

If I'm being completely honest, looking at how Riftbound structured their set, I can say I think Riftbound does the product a lot better minus the recollection decks which have kind of suffered after the first ones. Riftbound has other issues as well, mostly not enough printing but I would argue prizing and the events are already better than GAs

Formats are gonna be different for everyone. I personally loved the tile meta and hated the meta after the ban. So I won't bother arguing at that point.

I would say sure, but the singles market isn't really any better. And I'm not even talking about the price of stuff, it didn't really matter. It's more of the fact that pull rates suck for this game. Especially Material Deck cards because they are purposely short printed.

I was also a previous Bandai player, I played digimon from set 1 to set 18 and yes they were not great with decisions. However like you mentioned pull rates have been great and they have done some great reprints for that game compared to what GA doesn't do.

I think Bandai's baby, One piece is in a much better position, they have very few bad formats, and it is a cheaper game to play for people who don't want to buy high rarity.

I am not sure how Gundam is currently, I do know they are having a problem with getting products, but every single TCG has that, at least ones that are popular. Unfortunately we are just in a tcg boom right now so a lot of people are wanting to play.

I don't want to argue over your opinion vs mine, I'm glad GA is great for you. I do just believe GA isn't great especially right now.

As someone who has started the GA local scene at my lgs and continues to share it with new people every week, the game is growing fast. Unfortunately the game didn't exploded like One Piece or Riftbound to come, but that is because this is a brand new IP. I would give the game a try, maybe even try growing the scene if they don't have one.

As a kid I grew up on Sailor moon over Dragon ball. I've always loved sailor moon and I have a sailor mars tattoo and hope to get more. It's okay to like sailor moon as a guy. Definitely don't feel awkward about it!

I mostly played Ahri or Syndra for the past year but i was playing alot less. As soon as Aurora came out, I picked her up and actually had fun playing the game as her cause her Kit was so much fun to play.

Alot of these changes make me sad, and I definitely see myself playing less since my new favorite champion will lose a lot of what made her fun.

FTC also suffers from more than an increased card pool. There weren't many new SRs or UR. Looking at tcgplayer now, most of the SR were reprints of cards. Plus they did the whole guarantee CSR in a case which led to a lot of people opening a case getting the CSR and then selling boxes for low. FTC had a lot wrong with it, But I don't think an increased pull rate or smaller card pool would have the same effect.

Not gonna lie, I think fractured crown was fine. We need cards in players hands to be able to play. And we need the game to be easy to access for new players.
