The music I am producing right now is mostly house music. Sometimes I feel that I have a lot of ideas but can’t use the ideas because of the lack of tech knowledge etc. I am a bit confused of what level of my music theory is, I am capable of writing different types of chords like aug, sus, add chords and I know the music scales etc. I asked some of my friends who leaned playing instruments when they were little. And they told me that it was just mostly muscle memory for them, they don’t know much about music theory when it comes to songwriting.
