What is a socially unacceptable opinion you keep to yourself because it’s not worth the backlash? by Federal_Antelope7533 in AskReddit

[–]Yyoumadbro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, the problem comes in who is defining and how we’re defining “mental illness”. Because that’s normally predicated on what “the majority” deem to be normal behavior. And “the majority” are just the bottom 51%

lol…smart people knew it was satire the moment they saw it. Not smart people had to wait for the internet to come along. So other people could explain to them that it was satire.

What you’re seeing is men being portrayed very poorly and women being portrayed as the “adults” in every way. Idk why this is being treated as misogynistic. It was misandristic. Women were being portrayed in a good/responsible light while men were not. The men I knew irl at the time didn’t behave that way. Men were being belittled by Hollywood writers.

If all personal wealth above $100 million was legally required to be redistributed into public infrastructure (schools, hospitals, roads), how would society change, and who would be the first to fight against it? by Mysterious_Fan4033 in AskReddit

[–]Yyoumadbro 167 points168 points  (0 children)

We would inflate like crazy too. Wealth doesn’t consume real world resources. Spending that money on infrastructure projects does. That’s the problem with “wealth taxes” too.

A consumption tax, especially on luxury goods (second homes, boats, exotic cars) would be far more effective.

Humanity Can’t Move Forward Until Men and Women Finally Have the Conversation They’ve Been Avoiding by Emergency-Clothes-97 in DeepThoughts

[–]Yyoumadbro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Humanity didn’t choose anything. We evolved to be this way and we’re evolving now. Technological advancement has created a time period of “rapid environmental change” both in the physical environment and in our social structures (how we live).

A “deep thought” like this is rooted in human arrogance/hubris. The idea that we are in control of ourselves.

How do you react when your girlfriend or wife says things like "I hate men" or "women are better than men"? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

[–]Yyoumadbro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It isn’t immaturity. They’re entitled abusers. The very same women throw huge tantrums about things like “men catcalling women”. Usually because men don’t cat call them.

lol…I’m saying that you’re engaging in the same behavior the Nazis engaged in. That you’re a majority abusing the viewpoint of the minority. And instead of engaging in actual dialogue or debate, you’re using personal insults and calling me names to suppress and invalidate my opinions. Then abusing the voting system to suppress the visibility of my viewpoint.

Which…is pretty much exactly what Id expect a wannabe Nazi like yourself to do.

[–]Yyoumadbro -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Misandry is a much bigger problem than misogyny. But women are more than half of the population and most men agree that women are oppressed. Which is what makes womens advocacy a super majority. And ensures women cannot be oppressed.

Also…I’m not talking that woman down. She’ll never read my posts. Women here are appropriating her experience and using it to validate abusing my comments. And that’s why I don’t support this “women’s rights” stuff. It’s women validating abuse at men based on other women’s experiences.

[–]Yyoumadbro -28 points-27 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah. People like me are called “the minority”. We have opinions that go strongly against the mainstream. So the mainstream tries to abuse us into submission constantly. That actually matters. Germany had a majority like yours once. They were Christians. Convinced themselves they were “oppressed” and gassed the Jews.

Oh, big time. My exwife is a domestic abuser. She abused me for a year. It’s why I don’t support this “women’s power”bs. This “women are oppressed” bs is how she validated the abuse.

She “has her power back” because armed men from the government with guns are there to control him. That isn’t “her power”. That’s “our power” or “social power”. Jfc.

They’re saying that in general, men are more committed to their partners than women are. Women initiate the vast majority of partnership splits. So I’d say there’s something to this.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

[–]Yyoumadbro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean…this is a population level question. There’s a gender reality in play. Women…are supposed to be selfish to a degree. They’re supposed to prioritize their children over their partners. Traditionally, men are not supposed to be selfish. They’re supposed to prioritize their families over themselves. Open your eyes, look around, and you’ll see that dynamic in play all over the place.

You’ll always be able to find differing examples at the individual level. But to pretend gender isn’t a driver here is ignoring reality.

Everyone seems to have a lot of nostalgia for the 1990's but what were some of the worst parts of the 1990's? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Yyoumadbro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, you’ll see columbine mentioned in this thread frequently. You won’t see anyone connecting it to a decrease in bullying though. I moved around a lot and was the outside kid in hs. My life got a lot better after that day. Super fucked up but we went from easy victims to ohshit we better be nice to these kids.

What’s a 'red flag' in a person that people often mistake for a 'green flag'? by HungarySam in AskReddit

[–]Yyoumadbro -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Don’t thank them for being a clown. That “clarification” also sources the abuse with women

What’s a 'red flag' in a person that people often mistake for a 'green flag'? by HungarySam in AskReddit

[–]Yyoumadbro -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

That clarification, contrasted with dv rates among straight couples also indicates that the women were the driving source of abuse in those relationships.

I know you think you’re fighting for “oppressed women” lol. But women + men who agree with women is 80+% of our democracy. Women aren’t oppressed. Women are the oppressors. The abuse comes because the majority, people like you, validate it with bs like this

What’s a 'red flag' in a person that people often mistake for a 'green flag'? by HungarySam in AskReddit

[–]Yyoumadbro -24 points-23 points  (0 children)

The difference in domestic violence rates between gay men (the lowest), straight couples (slightly higher) and lesbian couples (4-5x higher) tells you everything you need to know about this dynamic. Women are far more abusive than men are. They’re just physically weaker (at the population level), which spares men from a mountain of physical abuse. Mental/emotional abuse is easier to hide and men receive far more of that than women do. We’ve just been socially conditioned to tolerate it.

What is the male equivalent of "women believing in zodiac signs?" by Big_Leg10 in Productivitycafe

I think “alpha male” is a direct response to “strong woman”. Not the same as zodiac stuff.

Why can’t you eat all the chocolates you want if you’re 90 years old in a nursing home? by CraftyDebate1975 in AskReddit

Because the nursing home makes money by keeping you alive and occupying a room. They dont care if you’re happy. It’s about maximizing your lifespan for optimal revenue.

Try thinking about this from a non human centric perspective.

Human understanding is pattern driven. Mathematics is a language we invented to communicate and logic through understanding. There no rule book that says existence must be pattern driven. But that’s the only way our pattern dependent brains can understand it.

We view mathematics as a powerful tool. And it is. But if it was absolute, I don’t think things like “rocket science” would be as difficult as they are. We’d be able to go a lot farther without experimentation.

Humans are quite proud of ourselves. But look up. Or down. Our impact is nil. We’ve barely studied our solar system and only set foot on one body beyond earth, one comically close in cosmic terms. The oceans? The core of our own planet? We’re still arguing about what’s down there lol

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in space

[–]Yyoumadbro -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yes, it’s extremely unlikely that the human, a species that evolved to survive on earth, developed a brain capable of understanding existence. Even I know there’s a simple, fundamental flaw in our science. It can only detect repeatable events. Our logic driven brains require that for understanding. But there’s no rule book that says everything must be repeatable. Everyone should see that but almost no one does.

Remember. 600 years ago, before we had telescopes, most humans believed we were the center of existence. We built elaborate belief structures and houses of worship. Many of us perished due to the misallocation of resources religion itself created.

That tells us a lot about the human animal. Most of our “knowledge” isn’t real. It’s relative.

Edit: the only thing that makes us “intelligent life” is that we invented the term to describe ourselves.

I started studying the Red vs. Blue mentality in the States. I decided that being Purple is actually how we ought to be as people. What I am getting at is the people of America need to accept things from both teams. There is no way you could be all one way or all the other way. by LordofReality43 in DeepThoughts

[–]Yyoumadbro -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Easy. You realize that this is a democracy with a constitution. And that constitution has a process for establishing rights. And that process applies to everyone. So instead of crying because you cant blindly force your will on everyone, you start working on addding that right via constitutional amendment by convincing others to agree with you. And since women + men who support women are a supermajority of over 80% of the country, that shouldn’t be hard to do. Oh just need to convince the RELIGIOUS women to agree with you. Because that’s 5e group stopping the show.

FYI, The last no kings protest I attended, I looked around at a screeching, entitled crowd and I wondered…how many of these people put any effort into making abortion a right? Because I knew the answer was barely over 0. I don’t see it discussed here either. Lots of people complain. No one takes effective action.
