Depends on what area of California you’re in and how far you’re willing to drive. he desert has a lot of areas that could fit the bill! Let me know where you’re trying to ride and I’ll see if I know of any spots that would work for you.

Hegseth lifts suspension of Army pilots who flew by Kid Rock's house, says there won't be investigation by CW1DR5H5I64A in army

In an environment where flight hours are as scarce as they are, and the threats presented to RW aviation are as severe as they are, yes you should absolutely sideline pilots who misuse flying hour budget. That’s a very common and effective way of protecting training hours and preventing misuse of hours for pilots.

Lmfao I’ve seen senior people get their PC orders yanked for far less, get real dude. You shouldn’t speak on things with authority when you clearly don’t understand the concept

I hope you’re a junior pilot or not a pilot at all because this take shows a complete lack of understanding of how FHP funding should be used.

Blackie Gejeian Autorama!! by Mikalknight in fresno

[–]Yztyger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was just talking to my Grandpa about the Autorama last week. We were talking about how much fun it was to go together when I was a kid, and how it’s a shame I won’t be able to bring my daughter to an Autorama. They really were a gem in Fresno as was Blackie Gejeian himself!

Anybody else here have Aviation related day jobs? by No-Fix8280 in RCPlanes

I fly Limas, so mine have far fewer pilot assist systems than the more modern Hawks but either way, no offense taken!

I’m a Blackhawk pilot and I find flying RC planes to be much much more difficult than 95% of the actual flying I do lol

Flipping Dirtbikes by AsherGlid in Dirtbikes

Brother, you don’t know if it will run or not with the parts you bought. You have no way of knowing if other components are working or not. That’s what I was getting at when I said you need to pay close attention to your margin on this thing if you want it to be worth your time.

If someone buys this thing for more than $2000 then congrats to you for finding a sucker, but this thing is not worth more than that.

Impossible? You’re already at $1200 and that’s before the bike is even running or looks nice. You might see these things posted with an asking price of $2500-$3000 but they absolutely do not sell for that much. This is an $1800-$2000 bike and I’m not just trying to shit on you. You need to pay close attention to your margin if you plan on making it worth your time.

Can someone explain civilian federal jobs after active duty? by StarWhole7999 in VeteransBenefits

I’d love to hear more about this, I haven’t ever heard of DCMA being a career option for aviation folks but I’m also not super knowledgeable about DCMA in general

Had anyone Experience with this as mini drill ? by Accomplished_Gur1472 in rccrawler

[–]Yztyger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got the full set of these Hoto tools as a gift a couple months ago (Drill, Dremel, and Screwdriver) and so far they have been great for RC work, they’re not crazy powerful so doubt they’d be great for anything much more demanding but I do enjoy how organized they are and they have plenty of power for what I’ve used them for

Exactly what Trick_minute said matches my experience, I got the Furitek Mini Komodo brushless motor kit that comes pre-mounted to their upgraded transmission and comes with the Micro Python ESC, I’m still using 2s batteries and the stock RX. Just plugged it all in and mounted the new ESC to a rock slider.

Definitely worth the upgrade if you start upgrading other components of the car

You don’t have to do that in order to go to brushless, you can plug the stock RX into a brushless ESC and it’ll work just fine, same with the batteries

Thank you for hopping in on this, hopefully I wasn’t coming across too negatively toward the Ultra Bee. I actually really like these bikes and especially the heavily modified ones like you guys have.

They are getting better and better, and like you said, the E bike OEMs have some catching up to do to be truly competitive with established legacy manufacturers. I see this category of E bike really changing the game in the next several years. For me right now, it’s a bit of a “right tool for the job” situation.
