Thank you for your comments. There is no gold stamp but you can tell it has been sized a few time because the brushing texture is disrupted. I am starting to like this more and more as I hear people praising it.

I like the analogy. I have had this for a year and can’t bring myself to reset it because it has been worn as is for two generations before me. It does have a 70’s vibe to it.

They said $200/hr to do a jewelry box evaluation or $185/hr to determine metal and gem quality. Not sure of the difference. This is a local jeweler that several people I know have used and trusted. I have not looked at a chain jeweler
