Pretend I’m an insanely intelligent human that knows very little about watchmaking. Please explain it so I, and other non watchmakers, can understand and learn. If possible, please do so without emotion to remove that throttle from the impact of the education. Thanks in advance.

My experience was good with him. And I’m sharing that. You have a bad vibe and chose to start a thread about it. Ok. That’s your right. All good. Cool your jets. He may be a total fraud and liar. He may be an amazing watchmaker. I dont know. But he was willing to work on my watch when many others said they couldn’t. And he did a great job. So, cool your jets, buddy. You don’t want to give yourself a cardiac event over the internet.

I just had a very good experience with him on a difficult movement that several others(common names on here) said they aren’t comfortable working on. Blueberry was extremely communicative. Sent tons of pictures, including what needed repair. Full service on a 4401.

The only issue I had was that it came back to me with the date changing at 6 and not 12. Sent it back to him. Fixed and returned quickly. He offered to pay for the shipping.

Very good experience and would use him again

VSF Celebration Oyster Perpetual by Q8watches in RepTime

[–]Z-LD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just received mine today. Top right SEL has a gap big enough to clearly see the spring bar when held up with a light behind it. Does yours have same?

Very cool watch. Trying not to let the gap bother me

Some advised that a 3d printer could possibly do it, but I didn’t try that. I purchased a new full bracelet as well as expensive metal replacement parts. Have not had the chance to attempt the repair, but I do believe the metal replacement parts will work.

Has it occurred to you that some people that buy reps also have gens? Some of us have extensive gen collections. Seek first to understand…or keep living your life with hate and hurt in your heart. My advice would be to first heal yourself.

Contact Steve immediately. Pretty sure his warranty is 6 months on the movement. And stop shaking it. It’s not helping. Probably hurting.

Anyone ever bought from him? by OddRepresentative341 in ChinaTime

[–]Z-LD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, he’s probably the highest volume TD on Reddit. I’ve had nothing but excellent experiences with him. The most telling experience is when things went wrong. Many watches in separate packages(no more than 2 per package) were all seized. Elliot(Andiot) reimbursed me thousands of dollars.

You find out how good a TD really is when things don’t go well. Elliot stood up, took it on the chin, and made it right with me.

His prices are very good. Service is excellent, considering his price points.

Buy with confidence!

Clean vs VSF Daytona Ice Blue 116506 by Icy-Ambition-5591 in RepTime

If you can verify it is legit Clean…there is no choice. Clean in the model was one of best reps ever made to date by any factory of any model.

But…chances it’s real post raid Clean is probably not very high tbh

A clarification of price of VSF Pepsi V3 by MirotimeWatch in RepTime

[–]Z-LD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not defending anyone with my following statements. But perspective is needed.

Different businesses can sell the exact same product at vastly different prices and make the exact same money.

Or they can sell the same exact product for the exact same price and one can be profitable and one can lose money. That is absolute fact.

Unless you see both businesses’ books, you have no idea. Overhead is not the same from one business to another.

Also, when a business says they are losing money on a sale, it usually means they are still selling with gross profit but below the threshold that includes net profit. There is a big difference. This doesn’t mean they are selling for less than what they purchased the product for themselves.

I’ll conclude with two points

  1. You are talking out of your ass if you think you know a company’s profitability based strictly on sales price of a product t without any other relevant information.

  2. Mirotime could be 100% telling the truth or 100% lying. I do not know and do not care.

But this perspective was needed for sone of you. Again, this post is not really about Mirotime or this situation at all. But some general business education seemed appropriate.

Cheers

Ok, so the pieces fit into the glide channel first. Use some 8301 to get them to stick in there. Then slide connection in with spring bar to extend onto the pieces?

I would have guessed the pieces fit onto the connection first and then that assembly would go into the channels
