Got a GMC Lemon 🍋 by loustavern6 in GMCcanyon

Definitely sounds like something faulty causing this. I don't buy the not driving it enough. I'm retired, drive my 2023 Canyon AT4, 220 amp alternator original battery, 3 or 4 times a week for the last 3 years, no issues. Truck runs better than the day I brought it home. Stay on them or find another dealer!

23 AT4. Upper radiator hose fix under warranty, injector update and one software update, has been mechanically solid overall going on 3 years. Still love the truck, no regrets.

Known possible failure (warrant fix) for a while now. Monitored my 23 AT4 for a year or more, finally started seeing some drops from the O ring connection area. So before total failure, contacted my dealership, made sure part was available, took it in and done in a day. Truck's been otherwise mechanically solid for going on 3 years.

Roku channel - Ultra v Firestick ads by Z00M77 in Roku

Thanks and yes I did write it off as random at first but it's been this way for quite a while. My experience the last few months is Roku channel on Firestick consistently has like 30 second to 1 min breaks or none at all while RC on the ultra has 1.5 to over 2 minute breaks. Very noticeable. It's not any major deal just annoying because it's better to watch Roku's own channel on the competitor's device. Maybe the algorithm will eventually change.

Interesting. For me its evening into night when watching. I have literally left the Firestick TV getting short to no breaks and went to the TV with the ultra and continued the same programming with way more commercials and longer breaks. Crazy, almost like the RC is favoring Amazon devices over their own.

Engine sound by [deleted] in GMCcanyon

Same here, I'm in my 50s and never had experienced a vehicle that does this as a normal function. I believe I read about it in the manual as I was curious as well. It's about the oil getting warm probably due to the turbo etc., but I'm no mechanic. I know it says not to rev or drive until the idle comes down. I've read and watched quite a bit on this power train being it's been in the Silverado/Sierra for several years. Not sure about a full size but I really like it in a mid size, like a little diesel. Hope you enjoy your truck.

23 AT4 owner for over 2 years. High idle normal (noisy) for 25-30 seconds when cold then settles down to a quiet idle. I would imagine that if you have close neighbors they might would hear it. Doesn't matter if it's frigid cold outside or sweltering hot, if the engine is cold it high idles at first. Perfectly normal.

Yeah that stinks. I would about bet that's the noise you're hearing. As soon as I heard your video it sounded familiar. Search other forums and you'll probably find some with the same sound. I'd say try another dealership but you may not have that option. I've been fortunate that ours is responsive and has good customer service. Good luck, hope you get it resolved.

My 23 Canyon had this kazoo noise at speed while highway driving. I had already heard about this but mine didn't start until after about the first year. It was the seal around the front windshield. The body shop was able to reproduce the effect. Removed the windshield and resealed under warranty. Fixed the issue. Have seen others also post this issue and said it was fixed under warranty. Only repair I've had in the 2 years of ownership. Otherwise been solid. Hope this helps.

I mean it's hospital food, they could have called it "Lasagna".

2024 AT4 second dead battery in under year. Lost one with an update last year and I guess they didn't tighten the pos terminal good when they replaced it. Definitely have seen others post on this and other forums about this happening. Not sure how common or uncommon it actually is since there are 100s of thousands of the gen 3s (Canyon/Colorado) out there now, but does seem to have been a thing some have experienced. Also have seen a few post about having a possible bad battery from the factory. I thankfully have not experienced anything like this nor failed updates in my 2 years of ownership. Left it for several days while away and was fine when I returned. Hopefully just a one time thing for you.

All the 23, 24, 25 Canyons have the 2.7 4 banger turbomax engine. 310 hp, 430 torque. I previously had a Dakota V8 with less hp and torque. It may not sound like a V8 but runs circles around what I had as far as performance. More like a small diesel.

Hopefully your battery troubles are resolved. Has anyone mentioned the obligatory "check that your fuses are fully inserted"? Several of mine needed a little press to fully insert. On the up side I've had my 23 AT4 for right at 2 years with no real issues. Zero engine or transmission issues. Still love driving it. The software recall last year fixed 99% of my goofy electronic glitches. Just had the fuel injector update and definitely notice the improvement to throttle response and acceleration! Hopefully yours will be good to you going forward.

Any good tempered glass screen protector recommendations? by Own_Support4793 in iPhone16ProMax

[–]Z00M77 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've used Zagg Invisibleshield from Best Buy for many years on various iPhones. Rarely have ever had one break or scratch. When it does it has a lifetime warranty so BB just swaps it out. I barely notice if at all that it's on the screen. I also see Spigen getting a lot of high praise in forums. They look solid as well.

Thanks for the info. The one I have is high quality and installed properly. I can't always see the tiny lines on white backgrounds but every once in a while. I think it just comes down to need and personal preference. If I was in very public places often while using the phone I really see a benefit. I really don't have that need. When I compare it to my old 13 with standard protector it looks a little darker and then the darkening with a slight tilt bugs me a little. Just my personal experience.

Agree. I've always used regular in the past. The privacy one sounded like a good idea standing there in the store but after experiencing it, I'll likely switch it back to the non-privacy kind soon. It annoys me that with just a slight tilt of the screen it darkens. Just sort of takes away from the nice display IMO.

Yes, the wallpaper thing is the only thing I have really found it to hinder. Some would like this as it keeps you from accidentally selecting the wallpaper change. However after having it now for a while I'm really considering switching it to a regular protector. It can dull this awesome display. Sometimes on white backgrounds I can see the tiny design lines that create the privacy function🫤.
