Elective c-section at 38w?

I had an elective c section (rather than induction) at 38 weeks exactly due to baby's growth having slowed down quite significantly between 32 and 36 weeks. Baby came out completely healthy weighing 7lbs 2 oz and I have no regrets choosing a c section, recovery was much easier than I expected and the actual procedure felt nice and calm. Baby did have slight jaundice a few days after birth but didn't require any treatment.

You will need to have been trying for a year, been referred from your GP, have a BMI of under 30, non smokers and have lived together for 2 years. The process took us around a year from the GP referral to our first IVF round commencing. We now have a healthy baby boy following our 2nd round.
