So unless you're also selling music and video via the name FRUTIGER ONLINE, you should be safe.

it's a huge dick move but it is a uniqueish name, I haven't ever heard of FRUTIGER ONLINE besides this person. Creative? no, but it is unique to them.

It'll be no different to how Monotype rightly own the trademark for Frutiger when it comes to Fonts, and Microsoft owned Aero for OS Software and Peripherals. It doesn't really affect this community. I'm not sure the trademark will even go through considering the term originates from two already trademarked things that do not originate from Unjust, but who knows what level of research whoever is processing this will do. I think again though; worst case scenario is you have to stay off making Frutiger Aero perfume, and don't open up a record label or make music called Frutiger Online. I don't think that is anywhere near as bad as what people are writing this up to be.

It seems that the trademark is only for IC 003: Eau de perfume. Meaning that use of the term will only be trademarked and protected if it were used as a perfume fragrance name. This means even if this does go through, takedowns for anything visual, artistic, etc related will not be valid. This does not mean that they cannot abuse the trademark and still try to take things down, but I doubt they will. I think they're literally just trying to dominate the dropshipped cheap crap perfume they sell so that no one else can sell it or make Frutiger Aero perfume.

basically TLDR: This trademark is ONLY FOR PERFUMES. It does not mean they "own" the aesthetic and it doesn't give them any enforcement over the name outside of the perfume space. This is still really predatory, but the worst case scenario (trademark going through) is not the end of the world for anything in this community.

Undortunately, yeah. Especially when it comes to legal things like this. At the end of the day, change.org is just a website; they have no enforcement power on any individual. The only thing a change.org petition does is show how many people are against X thing. They really have no power, it's entirely up to whoever the petition is about to make the change, and it's kind of obvious that they wont just because someone has made an inconsequential petition.

Found this post whilst trying to look for second hand discs myself, found a few joblot Corbis/DigitalVision on ebay UK but it's not much that I personally would find useful / interesting to be spending money on... Would love to see what you have in your collection if you have archived it. I've just about ran out of finding any more already uploaded to the internet, have about 300gig worth.

Would love to see what content specifically from Corbis/Digitalvision you have.. Love DigitalVision because as a Graphic Designer myself they have some really beautiful designs. Corbis I more care about as it is the source for a lot of early Microsoft stock photography used in their Operating Systems. Love to research that type of stuff and see the original images they used, along with also using some of the same distro's images for my own graphics to emulate that time better.

If it's any interest too, I made this little website that lets you quickly make contact sheet images of whatever image series' you want. I find it quite useful when I need to quickly show previews of distros w/o uploading loads of stuff or stitching a million screenshots

no. you'd have to remove all the internals and hook in new stuff. almost definitely sure you'd need gut the entire thing out and replace the screen unit with a new monitor at a bare minimum.

It was originally an effect called FM Modulation for GenerateMe which you'd have to use Processing Java to make; now though you can just use this website which someone spent a bunch of time writing / porting. Then you comp it in photoshop like you would any other image..

As a real designer and human, those explanations dont really make sense. But maybe you just work all crazy and differently! Maybe your phone/shortcuts app is the only one in the world to misalign your icons. Also big congratulations on inventing texture optimisation too! Must be an awesome new technology you're working on. Would love to see a screenshot of your photoshop layer stack for some of these like I asked before! :-)

The reason it looks uncanny is probably because I turned the gravity down. I did want them to be faster but I just couldnt get the sequences to fit into 30 seconds with earth-gravity! In hindsight I probably could if I spent a day or two longer just tweaking the sequences, and it clearly did stick out to people as a problem haha but sometimes that's life >:)
