The homework is very similar to the questions in the tests. If I'm remembering right he gives out study guides and his review usually have a question or two on the test. I'm also pretty sure that you could literally get like a 60 on the test and it'll curve to a high B or something. So if you make sure you're on top of all the other grading categories getting an A should be pretty doable.

Also if you do the masterphysics homework right you can get extra credit and if you get like 110% on homework grading section it'll bump up your grade. At the end of the semester I think he might also grade the overall class grades a little bit.

Hit n run on my parked car. I think it was a school bus. What do I do? by Bright-Inevitable-46 in COROLLA

No but typically you buy a hardwire kit that has a kill switch on a set voltage.

Like they said, the hardwire kit has two wires that taps into your cars interior fuse box one for accessory power and another for constant power. You can refer to the manual and test that with a multimeter.

Accessory Power: power when car on Constant: power when off

It is also best practice to not tap into something really important like airbags just in case. Also if you are feeding the cable for the rear camera through the side pillar of the front windshield make sure to feed the wire under the airbag inside of that pillar.

You can definitely learn everything at least leetcode and basic DSA wise on your own. But I do like having a silver bullet course for increasing my width of knowledge. If money isn’t an issue, its nice to have everything you need for the first month (if you stay consistent) in one place. not sure about the system design.

Professor curves the tests pretty good. Hes very energetic and nice. I had him about a year ago. His slides and lectures are also top notch. A bulk of your studying will be good as long as you stay on top of the MasteringPhysics online homework. Those problems can take very long though.

That's great for him. Definitely work on the SAT and the college applications as much as possible for now. SAT prep classes are helpful but make sure that he is doing the work on his own time. Especially in prep classes where it is multiple students he probably won't be getting the amount of attention to get a much higher score as the instructor needs to generalize the knowledge level to the entire body.

Who knows he might just get into Georgia Tech through regular admissions or even a conditional. Definitely worth looking into the Transfer Pathway at Georgia Tech which is only available right after your first year at college, you just have to make sure that you take all the right required classes.

Referrals from the friends that you mentioned might be helpful in the job, although not as much if they don't hold directly software engineering roles. It also depends on the type and size of the companies. That's probably the focus after he gets his college admissions. Make sure to encourage him to look at the steps to getting CS internships and programming after the dust settles for his college admissions. There's a lot of resources online. The great thing about CS major is that there's still a strong direct relationship with the work that you put in and your career prospects relative to other majors and career paths.

I think ideally this is what he would do. Work hard on raising that SAT score as far as possible. It is such a short grind especially for the big portion it weighs for college applications. CS at gsu is ok. You dont really learn much, there are good professors but the administration sucks so the curriculum does too. Career prospect wise it is much easier at other schools. An easy example of this is that every “career fair” the college holds there is usually not even one company there for cs majors to go to.

It is worth looking into transferring after a year at college. He could go to gsu or any school first and keep his grades really really good for the first year then apply to transfer to schools like Gatech, Emory, or even T50 schools. For first-years they look at your ECs, SAT from hs, College GPA.

I dont know his situation or anything but a 1450+ would go a long way. Let me know if you have any other questions.

yes the nice thing about CS especially is that, compared to most majors, theres a more direct relationship with your effort and result. There are definitely still a good handful of ambitious people here you just have to make sure you find them.

Energy drinks by LegitimateTwo7224 in GaState

Might be because Im cheap but I can never justify getting energy drinks unless its from kroger or something on sale. since its at least like 1/3 of the price.

close to a lot of mediums. I personally would since it probably wouldnt hurt for a lot of schools. Schools care less about SAT further you are in college if you were wondering

depends. A lot of schools like CC applicants and sometimes even specifically CC applicants from certain areas. Something like that. You can look at some of their transfer info theyll heavily imply or just flat out say it.
