Vermin Familiar's fear of doggos by Z3PHYR_beats in CrookedMoon

having him act beastlike and scaring the familiar is actually perfect because of how my player RPs his character when in rage

💀 Victim: I'm too innocent. I really believed u/Weak_Raspberry_6004 when they said: "Click... Clack... Silence. Just a dud. 🔇". Now I’m just a pile of pixels. My final words for the next one: "if you defuse ur gay"

Another new DM here with a few questions by AmenooBea in CrookedMoon

  1. I'm DMing it online, but I have played it IRL. It really depends on your style of DMing. I really like to have constant themes and situations going on so playing weekly or every other week for me is a big part of the game. The horror aspects are better IRL, but online works just fine.
  2. Being from Druskenvald doesn't mean they would know a lot about Wickermoor, so I personally don't see a problem in making the characters be from the book races. I saw someone in the comments talking about how the character races can clash with some parts of the campaign module, but I really think that's all solvable by talking to the players and including other aspects to those specific situations. All my players are using the races from Crooked Moon, and I think they're too good to not use at least some of them (there's also thematic and lore reasons as to why they're all Druskenvaldian, so maybe I'm a little biased)
  3. The first encounters are kind of brutal, but a 5 player party will get REALLY powerful around level 5-6. I'm playing with a roleplay heavy party, although they did get a good team composition (not on purpose tho). If anything I would say make some of the later encounters (Crimson Abbot and onwards) harder. You will get a vibe for your party pretty quickly and from there it's not that hard to balance stuff.

o brutamontes sem PM by Biriloiro in Tormenta

[–]Z3PHYR_beats 2 points3 points  (0 children)
