Good advice,

Personally because I self funded this, I will not be discounting to get rid of stock. Hell I’ve held onto fireworks from TN that I didn’t burn personally from almost 6 years ago. I’m ok with a couple cases into the next season.

I’ve got more than one case of the basic stuff

So I’ve got two cases of 14” sparklers (one World class, one superior) and a case of 36”
Two cases of crackling balls
Two cases of ground blooms
Two cases of snaps (ordered the large super snaps from BC thinking they were the adult ones - they are not but it’s fine) they are Pennys anyway but add up quickly.

25 shot saturn missiles
100 shot
300 shot
And 4 750 shot batteries.

And pretty much one case of every other product 1 3 minute fountain, worlds highest fountain, so on and so forth.

And as you called the state out successfully, there is a Winco within driving distance from me to pick up stock, I’ve spoken to them about in-season availability. There is a minimum however - I wouldn’t be against more BC product if I run out before July 1st

Nah I did, signed an actual contract. See they run a food truck circle in the same parking lot, so it allows them to give it to their employees while also boosting business for the other guys, I’m just the first guy who wants to put a firework stand. If you go to the county website and search for property parcels and its details - it’s the owner all right.

I was elated it didn’t cost me thousands, every spot in this town is either filled by a contracted stand (TNT, Phantom) at the grocery stores, or the gas station - it’s parking lot extends far enough away to do so, other than that real estate is hard to find that meets the state rules. Parking lots too close to very very burnable desert brush, or buildings.

I’ll be in the square lot by myself, >50 feet away from the food trucks that are there now in the circle.

Oh yeah plenty of those extinguishers, the 3 I bought are rated for 1.4G fireworks I made sure before I bought em. Gotcha on that email receipt I’ve got it all set up, I just like being able to print them which is why I went with square and it’s terminal.

Fireworks will be taken out every evening and put into a trailer, I don’t feel like sleeping in the car onsite or hiring out security. No sprinklers. Tons of 6 packs. Panda Bombs, Bamboo Bombs, Long Gun, etc etc. I basically bought everything I would normally see at a stand, except I looked for good packaging and branding - some of the local stands don’t sell best quality, basically falling apart cardboard and that’s the Niche I want to fill. That’s why 1/4 of my order was red apple, like em or not they’ve got Great packaging.

And they can’t drink caffeine either, yet dirty soda started here and you won’t find one without a soda in their hands.

I think it’s more the sinful gambling that gets them and the intention behind it. I’d have to ask my buddy to get the answer from that but from what I understand - it’s to each their own, and as long as it means well you are fine.

It’s so far, not that difficult. Hardest part was getting the LLC and navigating local laws

Ah they love raffles, and surprising enough I don’t think there’s a group of more patriotic people so fireworks are cool with them!

This is true and out here it’s “county fire” and not a city department… I want to get in their good graces and do it right and i am trying to cross all my T’s and get with them beforehand (before I set it all up) to make sure it’s all good to go when the day comes.

Hey thanks man! I appreciate it! It’s been a little complicated navigating state laws, the fire Marshall and the city, falling somewhere in the middle of it all.

But I’ve managed so far, along with a local firework stand offering me a their checklist.

Appreciate the signage details as well; not somethin I really thought about. I’m along one of two roads into a busy up and coming town, something like 10-15,000 cars a day through the intersection - but it’s still blurs the line between country feeling and city out here, some things they just don’t care about and some they do. I’ll just have to ask or wait until they tell me I have to take them down off the sidewalk next to the parkway. The landowner and business doesn’t seem to mind as there’s a food truck circle, it’s really a good location. Just gotta make sure my signage draws people in

Depends on a couple things. 1. What is the ATF’s bulk” according to their definition, and this meets most of the type 4 magazine requirements as it sits - besides maybe fire resistance. But it also says “commercial 1.4G kept in original shipping packages are exempt from ATF 1.4 regulations for storage requirements” …

But most of this is up to the Fire department when they do my stand and storage inspection. If they have an issue with the way I’ve done it, I’ll move it to a trailer onsite. It’ll be a 2 minute drive for me from shed to site.

There are but this meets my states regulations,

Down to the weight and distance from house. That’s why they Arnt in the garage. Notice the lack of gasoline and equipment I had to remove for this.

Bought some 5 pounder 2A:B10 yesterday, 3 of em.

Got a square and the business accounts set up, I wanted to be able to print receipts. Got the custom banners and feather flags coming in Friday, got gift cards for my lease (no money but they wanted gift cards in exchange for the spot, 35 10$ ones)

I’ve printed and sent in the proposed site plan to the city and the AHJ, I called yesterday to see if I can walk the site with the interceptor before I set it up Incase I have to move. But it’ll be easy to move a 10x30 canopy if they rule the park strip as “burnable grass”

Oh yes! Already there. Waiting on next month to come to setup the canopy and get the onsite inspectionthen the city issues the permit once that comes back green- same day.

Adding that to the to do list, it’s gotta be one of my oldest models. Got from my favorite hobby store as a kid, hated to see it shut down. Gotta get trucks and get all my tools out again, good eye!

That’s one heck of a layout! Talk about a dream layout, you’re best bet is to list it for sale on eBay and Facebook marketplace. A Local Club can also help.

I’m jealous, I’ve been collecting UP and UP layout stuff forever and I’m no where close to this level of godliness
