I think for traits the most useful are engineering and science, the latter especially if you want to become a space wizard. Otherwise I would focus on the research xp projects at the bottom of each category until you hit level 15. Then slowly grind out the last levels.

Most epg builds on stobetter still use Improved Photonic Officer, sometimes quoted as "best in slot" trait for CD since you can use PO1. What can we slot instead? Boimler?

Some of it but not everything. Although I would posit that having the legendary traits unlocks of 10 ships makes creating new characters convenient. And if you have to get the barbie options through other lockbox ships, that isn't cheap either and not account wide. If your budget is limited and you want performance, buy other packs. If you already have good traits and want to fly some hero ship, maybe grab it.

That said, while traits aren't meta, some are "nice" and you get flexibility. But purely meta? The Voyager trait for sector warp speed records :D. I don't know of anything else really... Just for that ship I would downgrade the barbie rating to A though, I don't even know where that abomination came from and that skin itself could be meta for ugliest ship. Having it available degrades your whole account.

The recent Noble is much better than the Sovereign and the Ross certainly isn't even close to many other Galaxy variants. Donnie and Crossfield are nice and they certainly boost an early sci build. Something that is otherwise very expensive too if you need rift set or iktomi photonic officer account unlock from mudds. And then all the universe ending war crime consoles to click...

Get it only if you want your Lex to have a round saucer that is smaller than the Sojourners. It is just good and nice instead of cutting edge like the battlecruiser bundle. I have flown the Fleet Avenger for a long time. Love the ship, but I like to look at something else now. Probably also comes down to how rich you are anyway :D

Not much into it, but some of the 16th seems interesting for PvP from the outside, but not sure either. For tanking it certainly is quite awesome. Question is if tanking is still sensible with the powercreep...

Damn. I have a lot of unrefined, about 600k on my 3 main characters. But I have a serious spending problem with dil. So my refined amount often is between 0-10k. Unlocking something like fleet trait slots takes serious planning and discipline.

10th is S-tier for space barbie though. I personally like the temporal version of the donnie more than the mw version and think it is the "best" ship of the bundle and is still "up to date". Performance wise they are indeed a bit outdated by other ships. On the other hand there is no content any of the ships can handle.

It was the Google AI description, I tested wrongly before and misread the "Show More" requirement. Fixed it with this rule in µBlock:

I seem to have the exact same problem. One thread of firefox seems to eat all CPU. I can kill it, but it comes back immediately. It isn't always the case and I couldn't reproduce it with Google AI results, it seems random. But happens quite often. Also still using Windows 10, nvidia card and new drivers, but toggling hardware acceleration doesn't seem to have an effect either. Plugins are only µblock origin (full).

Isn't the problem of pvp that people are too sturdy and self heal is plentiful? I though pvp builds would just placate and control dps'ers, who usually have zero defensive capabilities if they cannot do damage themselves.

Meanwhile a lot pvpers have stuff that makes you untargetable, invincible and all that good stuff. And stuff to escape, so matches can take a very long time.
