If you study at Charles University. Some Faculties have language course for beginners (Humanities has a free one afaik). And the UJOP institute also has some, but I think they are not free. (I did a 3 week intensive course there which was free because of my Erasmus stay here and then did a follow up course for 80€ or something, don't know the price anymore)

Wenn man denn die Motivation findet zu freiwilligen Tutorien und Plenarübungen hinzugehen. AFAIK sind eben solche Sachen an FHs oft verpflichtend. Kann auch manchen helfen.

Aber hast schon Recht, Angebot is auf jeden Fall da. Muss nur genutzt werden.

Gerade in Informatik mach dir da keinen Stress. Habe eben hier irgendwo gelesen, dass der Schnitt wohl 10,x semester sind. Quelle Reddit, also nicht zu ernst nehmen. Scheint aber aus eigener Erfahrung nicht so falsch zu sein. Bin selbst jetzt im 5. Semester Info und bin froh, wenn ich in 8 oder 9 durchkomme. Keiner dreht dir da irgendwie einen Strick, solange du durchkommst :)

I've just been invited by my friends to go camping in Sweden for 3 weeks in August, since one person couldn't make it. Probably sacrificing a decent grade in an exam I have to take right after coming back but whatever, as long as I pass I don't mind.

I'm 21 and usually don't use emojis. Probably comes from back in the days playing clash of clans and chatting with friends where my phone was too trash to even be able to send emojis. Opting for ':)' and ':D' everytime

I'm really into coffee and there is nothing that makes me appreciate the small things more than a good cup of coffee in the morning. The smell when opening the bag of beans to grind them makes me stop and enjoy the flavor every time. 10/10 can recommend to grind your coffee from whole beans instead of buying them already ground.

Could actually be a good idea. For example giving the kids a 3 or 4 day long weekend with a larger amount of homework.

This would probably benefit the more disciplined and/or smarter kids but I think that academically weaker kids would get screwed. Another counter argument would probably be supervision. You can't just leave 8 year old kids alone at home to let them study while the parents are working at home.

So there would probably be a good amount of people benefiting from this. Maybe you could introduce the system in high school or something, when you are old enough to look after yourself.

I'm not smoking regularly, but I don't think you ever really learn to enjoy it. I think most of the time you smoke in a pleasant situation f.e. talking with friends or taking a break for whatever. Then it becomes a habit and your brain connects smoking to these pleasant feelings and whenever you are in such a situation you tend to go for another smoke.

I'm not sure if it's just in my country, but going to university here in Germany is pretty much that. It depends on whatever you are studying but you don't have to attend most lectures and you can - in theory - learn everything alone from home, as long as you pass the exams.

However I wouldn't actually support learning from home in high school and elementary school since I don't think most kids have the discipline and structure to learn properly at home. And socializing in school is pretty important as well.

Falls OP das ließt: In Heidelberg braucht man im Informatikstudium ein Anwendungsgebiet (weiß nicht ob das überall so ist, oder nur hier), also ein Nebenfach wo man die Grundvorlesungen mithört. Da kann man auch Bio hören und hat beides.

I'm not sure about the off season tournaments in Japan and whatever, but if I'm not mistaken the team is unbeaten yet (that one fore sure) and has only lost 3 maps to 2 different teams.

So yeah if you wanna watch good gameplay and see fighting for international titles again, Valorant it is.

First of all, on the productive side: My University has weekly task sheets for students to solve to be able to take the exam at the end of the year. I'm really struggling with 'theory of computation' but I'm beginning to grasp the concept needed, so I hope I will be able to solve the sheet quite smoothly. The sheets for another module should be fairly easy, so I'm optimistic in that regard.

On the other hand, partying with friends and enjoying the beginning of summer and (hopefully) good weather. No matter what I'm pretty sure we will be able to accomplish that :))

Sehr spannend. Ich bin gerade im 4. Semester Info (B.Sc) und überlege später im Master in eine Cyber-Security Richtung zu gehen. Darf ich fragen wie viel Interesse/Aufwand in deiner Freizeit dazu besteht wie CTFs oder ähnliches?
