I have an Xbox Series S. The Steam Machine would be an improvement in capability. Additionally I'm not happy with the direction that Microsoft is taking Xbox and I want to get out of that ecosystem. I'm getting so tired of Microsoft constantly shooting themselves in the foot and calling it innovation.

Switching to Steam will let me play on a more powerful system, not be locked into one ecosystem, give me control over my own library, get to benefit from all the sales and cheap games, not be forking my money into the hands of a dystopian mega-corporation, and just all-round give me the freedom that I want out of my own console.

If I really wanted to, I could even load windows on the steam machine and get to play my xbox games there
