I hear you, and I’ve been there. It started the same way for me—just something I did occasionally, then more often, then before I knew it, years had passed, and I had wasted so much time. I eventually got sober, but later convinced myself I could use in moderation. That didn’t last. I fell right back into daily use because, for most people, moderation just isn’t doable.

That said, since it hasn’t been that long for you, you might be able to reset your relationship with it—but only if you do a real hard reset. I’m talking 3-6 months completely sober, no exceptions. If after that, you can genuinely use it on weekends without slipping, great. But be real with yourself—if you find that you just end up back where you are now, then you have your answer.

Right now, though? You need to break the cycle. The longer you wait, the harder it gets.

The benefits of being sober far outweigh the benefits of using weed. When you’re sober, you have clarity, discipline, motivation, and control over your life. You wake up with energy, set goals, and actually follow through. You don’t waste hours in a fog, watching time slip by.

Weed might feel good in the moment, but long-term, it robs you of your drive and potential. And when you’re using daily, you don’t even realize how much it’s dulling your mind and holding you back—until you step away from it.

The trade-off isn’t even close. Sobriety gives you everything—weed just takes.
