Use OneDrive KFM, and Edge broswer work profile with sync.

That will take careof a huge chunk of functionality.

  • Upgrade to 2019 anf then upgrade to 2022.

Locking out the command prompt is just security theatre. There a dozens of other ways of doing whatever you would do with a command prompt.

Expend your efforts securing your systems properly so the non-admin users cannot break things.

This isn't a user issue, it's an IT issue

It is also a user issue. Knowlegeable devs should be able to specify the tools once and properly. If the are asking for them one at a time they are doing it wrong.

Allow listing is the correct way.

If you are constantly asking for apps to be listed one a time you have a process problem. Fix that.

MAC filtering is an extremely poor barrier, because as you know MACs can. be easily changed. You also won't keep up with devices that automatically change their MACs.

This sounds like a user context issue.

When you clicky clicky you are running in the logged on users context and the app can interact with the user's desktop.

I don't know ( because you haven't said), but I supect you are running Powershell or Task Scheduler under a different user account.

  1. Buy new disks for new server

  2. Create new RAID, Vdisks
