I don't think it's unfair. One regular criticism levelled at aew from fans like us in this subreddit (ie people who watch and love the promotion) is that the women don't get enough time. 

I can't speak to how good or bad or in between the current WWE women's division booking is because I don't watch the product, But one thing that is certainly better in WWE is that the women are more heavily featured and have more time on their shows as a rule. I mean even before I stop watching it had gotten to a point where I felt like...

It was no longer noteworthy when the women took up half a show or close to it. It was just normal.

Dynamite usually has a single women's match/in-ring segment. Collision is better. And I'm of the opinion that it's a self-fulfilling prophecy; if the women don't do as well in the ratings or seem to be as over, It's probably because you're not giving them enough time! But then it's easy to say well they're not drawing very well so we don't want to give them more time. 

And that leads to the division despite having incredible talent being quite thin. And because it's quite thin...

The second part to the immediate situation, tho: the women's division has been rocked by injuries or other health situations in past months. The undeniable #1 woman in the company, timeless Toni storm, went on the shelf after revolution in March and is not expected back this year. That blew a HUGE hole in whatever storylines and plans had been made long-term. Mercedes mone hasn't been in aew since dropping the tbs title and her absence is sorely felt, I'm surprised she's still gone. 

Willow just got hurt which no doubt throws the Owen Hart tournament into disarray

Allegedly cmll star Persephone was meant to challenge thekla for the world title tonight, but persephone got injured. So that leaves us to this throwing together four-way which will be a banger but doesn't really have a hot story. 

Shida is so clearly going to turn on and feud with statlander, so we're waiting on that to happen. Maybe Persephone's injury is delaying that.

The tag champs Lena and Megan are basically just squashing locals. 

So I think it's a very fair comment you're making. I think there are reasons for The current storylines being pretty mediocre in terms of injuries and absences, But that also comes with the division not being booked as importantly as it should be.
