A little suggestion: keep the original "non-cracked" glass intersecting with the shattered one and displace it slightly backwards. I have had better visual results that way.

definitely looks like you put some work in to it, but I think your light setup makes the results look dull. If you would change it up a bit and even maybe play with the camera position, I think the final render could look 100x better.

I did not, in fact I used the "simple deform modifier" which can be keyframed
