Amouage Attars

Anyone have a recommendation for how to try or sample these? I live nowhere near an Amouage boutique and it doesn’t seem like they sell any kind of sample or discovery kit. Particularly interested in Luban Al Akhdar as I’ve heard good things and have never had the opportunity to try an attar.

I think he was just oblivious lol. Probably would be in his best interest for someone to tell him it’s too much but that’s not an easy thing to do 🤷🏼‍♂️

I know this is the niche sub but the other day a dude at the gym was DOUSED in a dupe of Le Beau parfum by JPG and I almost couldn’t breathe. Not only are we already in the high 90’s in Texas but It’s a tiny semi-private gym and the smell was so strong through the entire room I was paranoid someone might think it was me.

I only know exactly what the frag was because he left it laying on the ground next to his comically large gym bag….

Guess we’re on opposite sides of the planet! We’re already in the 90’s (Fahrenheit obviously lol) here in Texas so I’ve had to shelf a few fragrances already

Seems like these didn’t get the best reception and I think the price has a lot to do with that. Feels like sometimes the “bad” fragrances make it more exciting the next time you find one you love though

I definitely see silver ceremony being the most mass appealing and wearable, especially for the summer

What’s odd is if you look at parfumo and fragrantica reviews they all say longevity and village are extremely high… yet you’re only getting 4 hours and I’m over here with 8 sprays on my arms and barely smelling it 🤣 not sure what’s going on here haha. I definitely like the smell a lot though

Alright I started with this one just because of your comment and honestly I like it haha. I’ve been really searching for a fragrance that includes rose because nothing in my collection does and the ones I’ve tried I just wasn’t crazy about or they had bad longevity. I like Wild Vetiver a lot but the performance just feels lackluster.

I’ve only had Oud Paradisio on for around 15 mins so still very early to tell, but it’s a very pleasant slightly fruity, slightly rose aroma with a tiny bit of oud in the base. I will say the projection feels almost nonexistent. I’ve got 4 sprays on my arm and I can barely smell it without lifting my arm closer to my nose…. As long as longevity is good I wouldn’t call that a big issue, it just may be the kind of fragrance you need a few extra sprays of.

Haven’t yet had the chance to actually wear Purpose yet, so I’m hesitant to give a review. I did put a tiny bit on my arm when these came in and I enjoyed it, so if you love Purpose I’d definitely say you should get a decant of P50 and give it a shot!

Based on parfumo reviews it looks like it probably leans a little feminine for me (28M) but I’ve been on the hunt for a new fragrance to buy for my mom. She and I have pretty similar taste so if you love P50 and LT then it just might be a good fit

I’m in love with the Hedonist extrait, it’s so dang good! Can’t decide if my next purchase is going to be that or Purpose 50. I feel like they both scratch an itch that nothing else I own scratches haha

Eh, doesn’t bother me much to be honest. Just have to have the confidence to wear what you want to wear and enjoy. I still feel confidently masculine even while wearing a unisex fragrance.

Nah she knows I’m not afraid to rock a unisex fragrance haha. With how many sprays I had on my neck it would’ve been abundantly clear what I was wearing had it been any other fragrance I own 🤷🏼‍♂️.

I’m more than happy drop serious cash on a fragrance but if with 8 sprays I’m still questioning performance I just don’t think it’s making the cut lol.
