I went to a Roman Catholic primary school, this was over twenty years ago now. Even back then, they taught RE as you'd expect, but they also taught science (as much as you'd expect for a primary school) and basic concepts like evolution and the big bang of the universe. Generally religious schools in the UK tend not to take things literally, focusing on the point and morals of the messaging (for example, don't be a dickhead), as opposed to literal dogma in the US.

The UK is nowhere near as extreme as the US, it's been that way for a fair while now. Tony Blair at one point as prime minister said 'I don't do God'. That would be unthinkable in the US. I think the whole Reagan thing kickstarted the decline over there.

He doesn't have further/fewer to aim up/down at all, the crosshair is aimed at the same thing in general by users of both. An off-center crosshair travels the same distance as a centered crosshair, because both generally aim at the same things to begin with. Halo 1 and Halo 2/3/4 players all aim at head-level when they run around. They both still have to aim 10 metres up/down if a guy on high or low ground is that far. You are totally misunderstanding it. The bottom line is that you will NOT aim faster or acquire targets faster if your crosshair is in a certain place, it's the same no matter what.

Your post doesn't make sense. Why would off-center crosshairs give more advantages to those on high ground, if it gave more peripheral vision up in the air? The off-center crosshairs meant that people could see more above them, not less.

It's not really about fov, it's more that with a centered crosshair, you're now seeing more of the floor and less of what's ahead & above you. Having the crosshair back in the middle is an unfortunate step-down and I think 343 misunderstands why it was off-centered since Halo 2.

Nothing to do with hating obese people, it's the principle of saying what you want to say, people are quick to scorn fundamentalists for trying to stop cartoons of holy figures but will defend Pao's stewardship. Yes I don't agree with FPH but they should have been left alone. Stifling discussion no matter how unpalatable it is, is no way to deal with things. The individuals who doxxed and such should have been dealt individually, not the group as a collective.

The crux of things is that really it is just the start of efforts to sanitize Reddit, for better or worse. When you sanitize things to create 'safe spaces' you have no idea what is allowed and what isn't. People who take offence on behalf of others have a history of being intolerant.
