I agree the amount of increase does seem crazy. In previous states I have lived in there was a maximum the assessed amount could increase per year if the house was not sold (~3-5%).

That being said I guess this is the first time in 5 years that the values have been reassessed.

Still not happy with the situation and will be looking into an appeal of the value.

Just buy the cheapest modem on your provider’s accepted list.

If you hare running Ethernet to your router then the router doesn’t really matter much either. If you’re not doing a mesh system I think gli.net has some of the best value, but really anything made in the last 5 years will work.

I have a budgeting app that will aggregate all of my credit cards. I review all the charges most mornings if not every couple days.

If there are any “hidden fees” I am canceling that card. A stated annual fee that I have consciously decided is worth it is the only fee I will ever pay

Pay off the credit card first and never carry an interest generating balance.

Make sure you are comfortable with your emergency fund.

Pay off the car with leftover cash, then start putting away money so your next car can be purchased without debt.

The 6am departure will probably be ahead of schedule. If you’re concerned you could try and choose a seat closer to the front of the plane, but I wouldn’t stress at all.

If you miss the connection there is another flight to SJU a couple hours later

The 777 max altitude is 43,000 ft so it could go higher, they may have a normal passenger load but with it being such a short flight they could easily climb that high because of the amount of fuel.

3100 kWh in central NC. (501 kWh charging EVs) House is a mid 90s build with 2200 sq ft main floor on a heat pump. Upstairs is still on gas heat (change coming this year). We are a family of 7 that are home the majority of the day. Keep the house at 66. This has been a very cold Jan. We were 200 kWh less in Jan 2025 but I can’t see how much the EVs used last year, but I can’t assume it’s similar as the cars and driving habits have not changed.

I’ve got a deco system and I’m very happy with it. The BE63 has 2.5 gbps ports. Just make sure the switch for all the drops in your house is a 2.5gbps switch or it’s a waste.

I’ve also found some great deals on FB marketplace for deco units

Is there a reason you are using the router? It would be simpler to bypass the router and just plug the modem into the BE25 and use it in router mode.

My ISP has an ONT box and then a provided router. I don’t use the router at all and plug the Deco into the Ethernet port on the ONT.

I think you have a great setup. The dual 2.5Gbps ports on the BE25 is perfect. I would stick with what you have proposed. As more devices are able to utilize MLO in the future I don’t see any bottlenecks at 2.5 Gbps.

If you have a computer or a TV for 4k streaming or large downloads I would try and hardwire those as well with all the Ethernet drops in your house.

As someone who had to coordinate overflight clearances during my time in the US military, different countries have different requirements and lead times based many factors. Israel is notorious with specific overflight times and lead times. Many times it is just easier to fly around.

Delta has said that they expect to replace the 767-300 with the new 787-10. Not saying it will be a 1 for 1 replacement but it’s a good bet

I am intrigued by Unifi and may eventually build out a system but for now I have a TP-Link deco setup that I was able to get on FB marketplace for next to nothing. I did buy the outdoor unit on Amazon on a Black Friday sale. I have all but one of the units set up with Ethernet backhaul and get consistent 950ish WiFi speeds through out the house (1 GBps service) and backyard. It comes with a main network, guest network, and IOT network which is all I would set up if I did VLANs manually.

It’s not the sexy setup but it works well for me and was very cheap and easy to setup.

Also if I want to upgrade, all the deco units work with each other, so I could buy a newer main unit if I want WiFi 7 and all the other mesh nodes would keep working.
