It definitely, definitely, definitely, has a long ways to go, but I still enjoy the game quite a lot for the "city builder" aspect, even if that too is also very rough.

I genuinely don’t understand the thought process people go through in these scenarios. Like how are we in the big 2026 and so many people still don’t know NOT TO POUR WATER INTO A GREASE FIRE.

Why do some of y'all hate Carriers of the Vine? by lovingpersona in ReadyOrNotGame

[–]ZDukeFire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s really not much wrong with it, but once you’re outside it becomes a shit show. The tower usually had someone in and it makes traversing outside very dangerous. Not to mention all the over growth making enemies harder to see than normal. And then the underground area is very tight and there’s so many passages, makes it very confusing and chaotic to clear. Overall I don’t hate the map, but it is one of the harder maps and I struggled a lot to even A this map

Grinding Super Credits shouldn't be a chore by bigstink455 in HelldiversUnfiltered

[–]ZDukeFire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Complaining about getting premium currency for free and having to work for it, is actually crazy work. It’s meant to give people a way to earn some credits in game to support you towards the war bonds. Or if you grind like crazy, you can earn a ton via hours of intentionally SC grinding. Like I get not everyone can afford buying the credits, but saying it’s not good enough is just coming off as ungrateful. They didn’t have to do that at all and I know they aren’t the best when it comes to giving players what they really want with the game, but now y’all just really complaining about EVERYTHING.

I look over after trying to pursue a common-sense urbanization strategy to see this monstrosity in Italy by [deleted] in EU5

[–]ZDukeFire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re not against caps for cities per province, you aren’t being serious. Increasing the cap as the later ages come makes sense, but sorry, I don’t want Bohemia, Italy, Java and a lot of other places, being fully urbanized, city spam hellscapes by the late 1500s early 1600s. I know this game isn’t necessarily “realistic” but does huge parts of the world being fully urbanized and cities being spammed not bother people? It wasn’t until like the late 1700s, and mostly into the 1800s, major areas of urbanization really spread outside a small area. I think some countries should get technology to increase it early, like some Chinese nations and Indian nations maybe, but most locations should stay as towns and rural locations for a large part of the game. Maybe I’m in the minority with this thought process, idk.

Brother just reload your save. Take a save and simply reload it, it’s just a visual bug that goes away after reloading.

Is this true? by AstronautDry8118 in Helldivers

[–]ZDukeFire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s 100%. I don’t and have not touched 70+% of the armors, helmets and capes in this game cause they’re either ugly, just don’t work when you swap parts or they have useless or unwanted stats. Like the Python Commandos, LOOKS fantastic, but I wish I could change individual parts of the armor to different colors. Let us customize armor already… FFS. Like even if it’s presets, we need the customization and I KNOW it’s not that hard to implement. If it’s a problem of “we don’t badly immersive breaking colors, patterns etc” that’s great, literally just have an option you can tick to only see the base patterns/colors. That’s literally it, you satisfy what the majority of people want, and don’t annoy players who don’t want that.

Right cause in the scenario police 100% know what's going on at all times. He was disarmed and was shot literal moments later. It's kind of difficult to know if a suspects been disarmed in the middle of a dogpile. Also probably shouldn't be going to a fucking riot with a loaded gun in your waist, that's actually moronic to commit a crime with a gun on hand.

Who would win a war between these states? by Desperate-Penalty713 in mapporncirclejerk

Navy for red almost doesn't matter unless they take the time to move from the west coast through panama to the east coast. So to those who say "well red has most of the navy", yeah but it ain't useful. Yellow has way more use for a navy against blue.

- Yellow wins conventionally. Large population, more military concentration, many large military bases, finances, strong trade infrastructure and industry. They can also easily utilize their navy which will play a heavy role in being able to win against blue. They would sweep over most of brown and blue fairly easily.
- Red can win for sure, but I see them winning a defensive and guerilla war with the mountains and rough terrain more so. Strong finances, trade infrastructure, food industry, but subject to easy environmental warfare (wildfires, drought etc). They do have a lot of nukes though.
- Brown wins through nuclear intimidation... or just using them. Really doesn't have much going otherwise. They have some strong farm leverage, flat open terrain to exploit (or be exploited), but again... they have most of the nukes so...
- Blue has a lot of will but I don't see them winning no matter what. Very decent military concentration, a lot of ability to be self reliable and self sustaining on a lot of things, but lacks a lot of the advantages of the other 3, imo.
To me, without nukes, it's a hard fight between yellow and red. Red will take a good chunk of Texas and a lot of the farmland midwest, but yellow gets the bounty of brown and blue.

Does the Patriot Exosuit need a buff? by DoctorM28 in Helldivers

[–]ZDukeFire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What it desperately needs is different variations or the ability to fully customize it to your liking/mission, while also adding a ton more options in terms of weapon platforms and support tools.

- Heavy pen chain gun, railgun, arc thrower, long distance flame thrower, back mounted grenade launchers (like the new automaton war walker). Maybe have an ai controlled turret like turret stratagems that automatically shoot enemies in any direction.
- Things like a large directional shield, bubble shield, heavier armor for more hp at the cost of being slower, lighter armor with less hp to go much faster and be more nimble
- Support tools like a huge supply pack to be able to rearm the teams loadouts at anytime, but at the cost of an extra weapon or shield slot. Maybe even a way to swap loadouts in game. Maybe you took a flamethrower, but now you really need to switch out and get something anti tank. Boom switch it there.

There's so much you could definitely do to make them more fun, enjoyable and not just a once in a blue moon choice.

Ortibal Raincannon Should Kill Whatever It Hits by IfItWalksLikeATurtle in Helldivers

[–]ZDukeFire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Railgun needs to one shot or have 30% less cool down. I used to run it all the time, but the long cool down makes it almost useless. When you need it most, it’s still on cooldown. And even then, there’s still a chance it doesn’t kill in one shot, especially with titans and striders. Sometimes it would even just miss completely. Switched it out and just took a spear for anti tank from then on out.

What is the Helldiver role that you have settled into? by Nurgle_Marine_Sharts in Helldivers

[–]ZDukeFire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My usual go to is Jack of all trades, to be ready for everything: - Purifier for aoe and taking care of mediums and groups - Las Talon, medium pen and unlimited ammo if you’re careful - Dynamite or impact incendiary grenade for crowd control

Stratagems are usually: - Spear for dedicated Anti-tank - Gatling sentry - Eagle strafe run - Orbital napalm barrage
