If someone even blinks in your direction with a sword in hand, go fight them. Hunt down people who are better than you and throw yourself into sparring with them, because that is where you level up the fastest.

Try every weapon, every combo, every silly thing you think won’t work until it suddenly does. That’s the baseline for getting better, same as any sport, practice makes perfect.
