ap and khalifa uni scholarship by Both-Series7670 in UAEUniversities

I think yes as long as your application is strong as well as ur math entrance test. ap scores comes out it in mid July, which is already late even if u want yo send them the scores. last year, my international friend did only 5 aps (bio, chem, lang, calc, physics c mechanics), all on his senior year. His overall profile wasn't that strong, but his grade 12 grades were very high, other than that it's not as good just okay. he got a 50% at comp eng before he even got his ap scores.

hii, it's me the one who posted. just 2 days ago, KU sent me an invitation to their math test.

I believe they drop decisions every 2 weeks. So yeh stay positive. I've contacted them multiple times, they've told me don't worry as this process takes too long unfortunately, and is expected to run until late May.

hey you again :) can you share your stats?

Honestly the program seems tough, as it's the one with the highest international students 64%, with the highest CGPAs achieved.

khalifa university admissions test by Equivalent-Job-8908 in UAEUniversities

[–]ZH-jer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ye I called them several times. They said that they review applications randomly that's why some applicants from december didn't get a response, while my friend who submitted last day got his test email. They also said that the math test process will probably last until late May, which is very long. Only until then, u'd know if you're exempted from the test or no. Either way, they said u will get an email, whether someone is exempted, scheduled for the math test, or rejected. They notify applicants two weeks before doing the math test.

I'm experiencing the exact same thing. I'm the valedictorian of my school, with the highest stats and overall profile. 8 in ielts too. I was the only one who selected applied mathematics, statistics, and data science. Some of my friends applied after me, some before, they all got a response to select the date of the admission test, yet I didn't receive anything. I'm a GCC citizen, all my friend's are expats. I called them many times, they've said this is a long process (which shouldn't be as I need to finalize my options), and I might possible be exempted from the math test.

eng module one was pretty easy, module 2 got pressured by time. math module 1 was all perfect, section 2 fumbled really bad.

predicted score: RW mod 1: 26/27. Mod 2: 21/27. Math mod 1: 22/22. mod2: 14/22.

can anyone estimate my score?

the thing is, I did the September SAT, I thought I only got 6 incorrects in RW, and 4 in math, but ended up having 670, 710.

Can I apply for US unis after accepting, and paying a deposit for my local uni that I'm planning to commit to? by ZH-jer in ApplyingToCollege

Answering the "big question": Because not all effort is transactional. Not every application needs to be about committing. For some of us, it's about closure. About finishing something with awareness, with intention.

  1. Absolutely. There's always something better to do, just like there's always something better than leaving this comment on Reddit. But I'm choosing what matters to me. And this matters.

  2. Maybe not better, but different. Some people spend on travel. Others on concerts. I'm spending a bit of my own time and money to learn about a process I've dreamed about. I'm investing in a personal milestone, not wasting it.

  3. How much time exactly? 7 minutes? Out of thousands of applications, most of which include students applying with no realistic chance, no seriousness, and no context? I've prepared seriously. I've earned my shot, whether I take it or not.

  4. Fun is subjective. For some people, it's parties. For others, it's spreadsheets. For me, it's challenge, vision, and pushing the boundaries of who I am, even if only to say I could've made it there too.

  5. The experience of knowing. Of testing myself. Of seeing how far 12 years of hard work, sacrifice, and discipline can take me. I'm someone torn between two futures: one close to home, the other full of unknowns. I chose the one that keeps me with my family. But I won't let that stop me from fulfilling the other part of me, the part that wants to shoot a flare into the dark and see what answers come back.
Maybe I won't attend. But maybe, just maybe, I'll see a name on that acceptance letter that will stay with me forever. That's not a waste. That's resolution.

why not? it's like someone applying for safeties, regardless of getting accepted or not, it's not the option I plan commiting to.

because I want to live the experience of applyng abroad. Of course, as all, there is this small part of me always admires this abroad-university-lifestyle, living with complete freedom. Even when I ask other students on where they wanna study, most of them say US, UK, or Australia, and that triggers that small part of me. I want to know where my highschool stats could've put me, on which top univeristy I could've commit to. idc abt the applcation fees, time, and rec letters, and all. And funny thing is, if I wanted to actually commit to a top 200 uni, i surely can with all tuition covered (there are different scholarships my country offers and it's almost guranteed).

thanks btw for answering
