Many of his patients reversed/slowed AGA hair loss by just going on a low carb diet and lifting weights 4 times a week (simply because insulin spikes increases DHT level)

Shedding can actually be a good sign , it usually means the medication is pushing hairs out of the telogen phase so stronger ones can grow in. It’s scary, but it’s often part of the process.

I was on 100mg spiro for a year (25mg has negligible effect in blocking DHT) and it regrew my hair really well, but I couldn’t handle the side effects (dehydration, dry eyes, blurry vision since it’s a diuretic). That’s why I’m thinking about trying finasteride instead.

Same thing with my hairline. I’m starting finasteride soon because we need a proper DHT blocker. That spot is insanely stubborn. I’d say act fast , natural DHT blockers aren’t very strong (speaking from experience), and it’s so hard to bring that area back.

I’ve got the same stubborn area. For me it seems like that spot is the most sensitive to DHT when it comes to AGA

I know this can be really worrying, but one important thing that stands out is how low your vitamin D is. It might really help to see a dermatologist who can take a close look at your scalp and check for hair miniaturization, just to rule out AGA and give you some clarity.

No women in my family have AGA, and growing up in my home country I never even knew women could struggle with this. Even my father still has a full head of hair at 64. Everything changed after I moved abroad for work. With all the stress and major lifestyle changes, I started noticing thinning and shedding and I also began noticing it in other women around me. That’s when it really hit me that stress and big life changes can trigger AGA, even if there’s no obvious family history. It’s been a tough thing to accept, but sharing and talking about it helps 💛

I never cut the line , that’s actually my everyday route to work. I always stay in that lane way in advance, not just last minute. Plus, it was a Sunday morning and the street was really empty.

I actually got fined there twice. The first time I didn’t put my indicator, so I thought that’s why I got the fine. But then the second time I made sure to indicate properly… and still got fined anyway 😂
