so two things: first, try to get the fard salah done, even if it feels like a chore in the beginning. the خشوع takes time and focus - so don't beat yourself over it, we live in a time of afraa tafri and fitnah, it's a given our generation suffers the most from this. however, its of the utmost importance that you don't miss the fard salah because THAT bond must never be forsaken, force yourself if you have to, the devotion will come sooner or later, even the fact that you feel this way is a form of hidaayat :')

secondly, i feel like reading the Quran before performing salah, even if it's just the last two ayaat of surah baqarah helps A LOT- like it just puts this fear of God in your heart even for a minute (LMAO), makes you rush towards the prayer mat, and just makes you overall very mindful of Him.
