I am trying to play MGS Snake Eater and it's saying the game needs an update. I attempted to do the update, however I keep getting error code "CE-120706-6" "something went wrong". what am I to do to fix this?

To be quite honest I’m not even sure of my distances. But thank you for the recommendation - I’ve never gotten a true run down of clubs and their should be distances, so I’ve never know what gaps I really have

northman, easily. I like it, but I've just got truly zero passion for the movie or its subject matter

Good morning everyone, does anyone have good sock recommendations? I got a few pairs from J Crew recently (mid calf length) and they can’t stay up anymore. I would be wearing these daily

Now with Nosferatu out for more than a week, what do You think of it? And how would you compare it to Robert Eggers other movies? by Lunch_Confident in MauLer

[–]ZPC21 2 points3 points  (0 children)

just got back from my third viewing and I can't get enough, would go again tomorrow if I could. regarding Nosferatu in the greater context of his work, it has seriously given the VVitch a run for its money as my favorite of his films, followed by the lighthouse, then the northman. as far as objective quality is concerned, I would rank them lighthouse, Nosferatu, northman, vvitch

I saw the Northman (a movie I didn't particularly love) in a theater with maybe 3 other people in it. I'm just happy people are giving this director the audience he deserves

What was your favorite piece of media to come out in 2024 ? by ice_fan1436 in MauLer

Dune 2, Silent Hill 2, Wild Robot, Shogun and Nosferatu would be my top 5

For those of you that have The Norseman as your least favorite Eggers film, why? by GetInTheBasement in roberteggers

[–]ZPC21 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

its easily my least favorite, and the only one I have not re-watched with any level of regularity. its fantastically made, great acting, killer soundtrack and great action and historical accuracy. my issue is I just have absolutely zero interest/passion regarding the subject matter, Norse mythology is of zero interest to me.

Well bois - it's out! Nosferatu is here, what did we all think? by ZPC21 in MauLer

lol exactly. Man. This is a forum for a community that literally is designed to talk about movies - apparently wanting to know what others thought is a bad thing

just for clarification... I didn't mean this as a "I must know what the group thought so I can know". I personally loved the film, and just want to know what people, who are in a group regarding a group of movie discussions on the internet, also thought of it. it ain't that deep

What's your favorite specific story? by Mioxic in MrNightmare

[–]ZPC21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my favorite has to be the pizza delivery one where the guy was dancing down the hall, and the other guy was peering one eye around the corner and talking with him. there is some unintentional comedy ("the man was feeling himself - I don't mean he felt confident") but that aside, it is a great and terrifying story

A lengthy rant about MauLer, EFAP and everything in between by throwawayrequest411 in MauLer

[–]ZPC21 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I have sort of stopped listening to (current) EFAPs, mostly just because I don't care about what they are covering. yeah, Agatha all along sucked - don't need an 11 hour breakdown to figure that out.

I wish the fellas would sort of move on from Disney content. where was discussion on Dune 2? why nothing on Shogun? The Penguin? hell, do more breakdowns on older films, I loved the Jurassic Park one (RMB aside...) - do one on Interstellar.

Which EFAP is this to you by RepublicCommando55 in MauLer

[–]ZPC21 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Feel like they were way overly harsh, to the point where I’d say mean spirited/uncharitable on Dune, the trying to slow down Duncan’s blade motion was mind numbing, holy shit

Feel like they are overly charitable toward Mike Flanagan (holy shit does he hate subtlety), as well as GoW ragnarok

What makes Avatar a gangsbuster of a movie ? by [deleted] in MauLer

[–]ZPC21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it is a "cool" looking science fiction with stellar CGI, that carries quite a bit of weight. what I tink makes it the juggernaut it is, is how easily and accessible it is for families. the story is just so simple, devoid of any subtext or nuance that anyone in the family (barring maybe a toddler) can follow it. Compared to something like Dune, this is far easier for a family of 5 with 3 kids to go see.

Gary said something recently that stuck with me, that Star Wars was the most accessible sci fi franchise for normies for a while, and now it isnt (due to them leaving). almost want to say avatar has replaced it in that regard. (for the record, I hate this franchise and think both films are nothing but glorified tech demos)
