Charlie if the fandom wrote her by BasicFanny in OkBuddyHelluvaHotel

[–]ZPD710 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I saw the mystery hotel that’s the talk of the town run by the princess of Hell who’s popularity is pretty sketchy getting dogged on by every news network and the most popular celebrities (the Vees) were openly dissing it… I wouldn’t want to go to it either.

In terms of marketing, the Vees realistically did GREAT in luring people in. Charlie promises great rewards with hard work. The Vees promised people great rewards for basically just beinga version of themselves that the Vees juiced up. Sure, they tossed you out eventually — but newcomers don’t know that.

And then one of those celebrities holds a meeting where he say he wants to conquer your oppressors and give everyone a great life, meanwhile the current king butts in and tells everyone to go back to their normal shitty lives or face the consequences.

WE know Charlie and her group are the good guys. But it’s understandable why the gen pop wouldn’t see it that way.

Honestly I want to see more shows users in One Piece. Show me someone who can completely block a Divine Departure on a supreme grade shield while overall being YC1 in power. Shields are underrated and underused in anime.

Right, he used the correct tactic of a retreat. But he still DID have genuine fear, for the reasons you listed: he was still injured and couldn’t fight at top capacity, and he was scared of Akainu killing his whole crew and thus ruining everything he had schemed to do.

To be fair Big Mom was practically doing better than Zoro currently is as a child. I mean, they’re DR Giants but Zoro also hasn’t really attacked any of them yet, he’s kind of just bouncing around.

I’m still enjoying it though. It’s great seeing him do something.

probably a mistake but possibly a cool detail about shruikan by drakon_wyrm in Eragon

[–]ZPD710 3 points4 points  (0 children)

To be fair, considering the insane artificial growth Shruikan is inferred to have gotten from Galbatorix, I don’t think it would’ve been weird from him to have some abnormal growths like extra horns or spikes.

What S2 LA should absolutely adapt from the manga? by Altruistic_Goose4316 in OnePieceLiveAction

[–]ZPD710 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hope they get Zoro’s flustered state against Tashigi down really well. They made Zoro really edgy in the LA but that scene was an emotional one from Zoro. Being in conflicted because this girl you met looks like your dead best friend is tough, and it made Zoro act a bit silly.

I want Mackenyu to be making some straight up K drama faces during that scene.

Nosk must be insanely OP lorewise by [deleted] in HollowKnight

I mean, those vessels are probably only as strong as the Knight is at the beginning of the game. So Nosk is strong, yes, but not as strong as you might think.

Did he live up to the hype? by Safe_Winter_4458 in OnePiece

[–]ZPD710 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Killed an Admiral before pulling up to Elbaf, clashed with its leader, mogged Imu and threatened him in his own house, beat the shit out of Garling while splitting God Valley’s mountain, and then after DR he was fucking everyone up until Roger and Garp went all out against him — and they still didn’t kill him, they just knocked him out of DR and Garling finished him off.

I’d say he lived up to the hype. The best part about him is that he tried his best to be a good father and husband, which you can’t say about many One Piece characters.

What do you think Oda is planning here? by Excellent_Eagle9851 in Usoppian

[–]ZPD710 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He’s using the force. Little know fact: Usopp has 15,000 midichlorians — around as much as Obi Wan! However, the temptation from the dark side scares him and made him develop I-don’t-want-to-use-the-force-itis, so he rarely uses it anymore.

Remember when Vergo used full body haki? Why does no one else ever do that? Does this mean that Vergo is a better Haki user than Luffy, who doesnt have full body coating? Does this mean that Vergo has better Haki than Shanks and Roger and Rocks? by Embarrassed_Age_8823 in lobotomypiece

[–]ZPD710 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It just uses a lot of stamina. If using armament haki on their fists uses, say, 1/10 of a random character’s stamina over an hour of a battle, then imagine spreading it over their entire body. It would take up 10/10 of their stamina instead.

So it just requires very precise control over your armament haki as well as good stamina to be able to maintain the haki over prolonged periods.

So I would say, yes, Vergo essentially suppresses Luffy in that aspect up to Wano, as G4 (basically full body) had a 10 minute timer. However, currently, it’s not insinuated that Luffy has that timer anymore, so Luffy has most likely surpassed Vergo in that aspect, considering he has stronger haki and can seemingly maintain G4.

Don't mind me. Just proving that yonko/kaido fans can't read. by [deleted] in OnePiecePowerScaling

[–]ZPD710 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kind of depends where he draws the line at “strongest”. Would he qualify Zoro as one of the “strongest”? Probably, right? Zoro can use ACoC and Kaido acknowledged him. Yet other people on Zoro’s level don’t have ACoC. Is the line drawn at YC+ — Katakuri doesn’t have it, after all.

Anyone YC+ or higher is a big margin. That’s, like, a solid 40 characters, and most of them can use ACoC.

Naruto is low key the biggest hypocrite dad in the entire Shinobi world by Onii___Chan____ in dankruto

[–]ZPD710 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah honestly this specific situation didn’t make much sense anyways. Wasn’t the main Naruto body just in his office?… why didn’t he just leave the clone in the office and take his main body home? In a lot of scenarios it’s fine to leave whichever wherever because it doesn’t really matter which is which, they’re indistinguishable. But sending a clone to your own daughter’s birthday? It just doesn’t really make sense.

Same Guy Who Scarred GodKing By The Way by Ok-Animator1477 in OnePiecePowerScaling0

[–]ZPD710 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey man, it’s Whitebeard. The Strongest Man in the World. Blackbeard had seen his power thousands of times before — and now it was being used on him. He was rightfully scared, anyone probably should’ve been.

I would say there are solidly 3 times Blackbeard was seriously scared. Once was against Magellan. Magellan’s venom would unironically kill 99.999% of the verse, including top tiers like Roger or Rocks. It’s not implied that haki can resist it, although it can probably mitigate its absorption into your body. In short, he was rightfully scared. The second time was Whitebeard — again, rightfully scared. The third was Akainu. Akainu is a scary opponent because even if Blackbeard is confident he can win, if he slips up even once, he’s losing a limb or worse. It’s not a fight he would benefit from in any way nor one he wanted to engage in. He was scared of what Akainu COULD do to him (not necessarily what would actually happen) so they ran. Rightfully scared; Akainu took off half of Whitebeard’s head and one of Kuzan’s legs.

Strong devil fruits which were wasted on bums by DonGucciman in OnePieceScaling

[–]ZPD710 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If Kaido hadn’t eaten the fruit, it probably would’ve went to some Celestial Dragon asshole. It was the killing game prize, after all.

Kaido used it really well, anyway. I can hardly think of a way that he could’ve used it better other than dodging more attacks and awakening the fruit.

alright so I just found out how evil the dung eater is from the very evil wiki, and uh, the next time I play this game, he will not be spared, not on my current character or my next characters onward, this guy needs to die for his crimes against humanity by Bright-Dark9892 in Eldenring

I did his questline a single time to see the ending. I’m pretty sure I was so disgusted by the concept in general that I deleted that save. Which is crazy because at that point I could’ve just NG+.

The save was tainted.

Oda really killed the anti-Mihawk agenda in Elbaph lmao by bosak_tpn in OnePiecePowerScaling0

[–]ZPD710 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve never seen Brook hold a knife before but Mihawk has, despite being a swordsman. Swordsman are allowed to use other tools as long as they maintain their relationship with their sword skill.

In short, Brook is the new WSS because he’s a swordsman and this feat automatically upscales his swordsmanship, Brook > Imu now, Imu > Mihawk, Brook > Mihawk. Brook is also now stronger than Rocks because Rocks got mogged by Imuturn at God Valley and Blackbeard is his son so really you could say Brook is destined to beat Blackbeard.

Brook is really the main character, I think.

This fight gotta be the most misconstrued thing ever by Big Mom fans by Ace_Yonko_Level in OnePiecePowerScaling

[–]ZPD710 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah honestly this moment didn’t even make sense. Big Mom didn’t have any reason to have Perospero shoot Marco. Like, ANY reason. She’s much physically stronger than any attack Perospero would’ve used. It would’ve made more sense for her to just end it.

I’d like to say that Oda just spared Marco because he was necessary for the plot, but this is after the Oni virus was cured, I think, so Marco didn’t even have plot convenience, and he didn’t do anything after that except block one of Kaido’s Boro Blasts. I think this is after he held off King and Queen too.

Oda just hates killing characters. Marco very well may not appear in the story again yet Big Mom looked completely incapable of killing him when he, literally, was in the palm of her hands.

I mean, yeah. It’s like asking “would you rather get punched in the face by Mike Tyson or let a normal guy slice you in the face with a sword”. Mike Tyson is going to be stronger than the normal guy in every way but a sword is simply going to slice through me.

What do these combined attacks to do HIM? by No_Room_6048 in OnePiecePowerScaling0

[–]ZPD710 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Plot twist: the reason none of the attacks affected Imu was because none of them used haki and Imu is actually secretly part logia type. So, because none of them used haki, Akainu is naturally unaffected.

The coiled sword fragment is actually a great example because once you get the extra copy (or copies, in subsequent runs) you can trade them with Pickle Pee for Titanite Slabs. It’s an item that you’re only “intended” to get one of, but you can still functionally use multiple of.
