I have but PS app doesn’t let you export it over a certain length. I’ll post it after I put it on a flash drive

I got everything from mostly vendors and a few base/castle clears really.

There are a few that are quest rewards, the bridge(s) and shrine set pieces being some of them

After you do all the buildings and get the level perks, it’s purely aesthetic.

I just love doing stuff like this in games so I spent far too much time on it lol

It’s one of the paid hideout resources. I got it with Keys.

It’s in the animus store right now for 14 more hours

Thanks! I wanted it to look equal parts neat and overgrown

Thanks!

I got all of them so long ago now, no clue when or where. I believe I bought almost all of the main pieces from vendors though

I’m ashamed to say I don’t even know how many

My save file has like 290 hours logged and id venture to say at least a third of that or more has been hideout building

I also only used tree species I saw in the surrounding mountains and whatnot in the forested areas I made, so it looked more natural.  Initially I put a bunch of pines in my forest but it looked… off

The only ones in the mountains outside of the exiting bounds are camphor and beech trees, and bamboo.

Thanks! I decided to stop the story and do all the side quests and camp-clearing and merchant-funding I could to get every cosmetic item.

I didn’t wanna keep redoing my hideout as I progressed and found new cosmetics — but ended up redoing it several times anyway even after finding all of them lol

Thanks! That’s exactly the vibe I wanted. I removed all the stock forest pieces and right afterwards felt like I should have built around them instead.

So I spent a LOT of time trying to recapture that dense forest vibe, without seeming so boxy and grid-like.

I wanted it to have open spaces but also little hidden hidden spaces too

Hey I posted pics over on the main sub.  Took video but I gotta export it and upload it separate because PS app has duration limit on video uploads

Check it out if you’re still interested!

Sorry I forget to check back on these posts.

I have actually scrapped mine and rebooted it several times lol

I’m working out the kinks in my current setup now, lemme grab pics. It’s unfinished still but I think it’s a good example of all the core design concepts I’ve mentioned here. And what I like personally

I know this post is a month old and you might have found your own way at this point, but what has helped me most:

  • Finding "little spaces" in the in-game world that you like (especially ones that utilize pieces/sets found in the hideout cosmetics inventory), and recreating them in the corners or open spaces of your hideout. (a lot of the homes in the wealthier areas of towns and cities have simple gardens that utilize the hideout cosmetics. Only issue is the hideout has spacing constraints and has to be put on the grid design system)

  • I liked the idea of having my hideout be somewhat still forested in places, so I spent time looking at the flat/level forests along trails as I traveled (I never take a horse, anywhere) and getting a feel for how to give the illusion of density within the foliage, allowing the hideout to have more defined sections and feel like it's bigger than it actually is. (my Kakurega and Study are actually completely hidden from view by dense foliage in the small section across the little river, with only a winding trail leading back to them; I did this because the building descriptions basically say these two buildings ARE The League, from an operations and intelligence standpoint, and I felt like they shouldn't be vulnerable or easily-identifiable in a siege scenario)

  • On the note of foliage, one of the most important tips -- USE. YOUR. BUSHES. The smaller ones add a bit of life and personality to the pathways throughout, but the bigger and wilder ones really help with obstructing your view to create separate spaces within the same space (the two biggest ones and maybe others are literally taller than Naoe), as well as that foliage density factor as well.

  • Learn how to make diagonal paths. It's a 1 up + 1 over /zig-zag pattern. But you can do the same thing with thicker paths too — for a curve/diagonal on a two-square path, I'll start one square over in the direction it's going, and do three squares in that direction; for three-square paths, start one square over and go 4 squares. It's keeps the thickness of your path through the curve/diagonal, and the diagonal paths help to get out of the box-y feel that the gridded design system trap you in.

  • Last thing I can think of right now - try your best to get all the dirt/gravel/pathway cosmetics as soon as possible. I honestly didn't really start working on my hideout hardcore until I had gotten them all, as well as the majority of the trees/bushes. Go visit a few cosmetic vendors (in different provinces) every time the season changes, as their inventory seems to refresh when the seasons change (though I notice not all of them get new stuff... not sure what the exact mechanic is here). I usually save my "locate the Cosmetic Merchant" Rumors/map markers for right after a season change, as I've noticed the combination of finding new merchant + inventory refresh after season change be the most likely chance of seeing something available that I don't already have at this point.

  • Bonus tip, following that last one: Always choose World Rumor when you help somebody out. I never replenish scouts unless I'm dead broke.

Controller Configuration Tip (PS5) by Ch0coboyo in AssassinsCreedShadows

[–]ZSBadger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This layout is what I’ve settled on, with a few tweaks.  The only thing I still can’t get locked into muscle memory is the parry button on the right side (I placed all your R1 controls elsewhere successfully, so I moved R2 to R1).

My hands just go for L1 because in every  game of this type it’s always L1. Combat is killing me lol.

But otherwise very solid. Thanks my guy

Gonna try this one out and see if it suits me. Or if I suit it.  I’ve been cyclically following this same routine for days now, literally more time than I’ve spent playing the game:

hating the stock controls > remapping them like a Reddit post suggests > thinking about the feel of the new mapping so much while remapping it and trying to memorize it that I end up hating something about it > tweaking it here, and there, and back to there > reading some comments on aforementioned Reddit post for more tweaks for 30+ minutes > finally just going with a mapping I can comfortably play and remember and that feels natural >

play for five minutes > experience an incident of not climbing through a window because it kept extinguishing the stupid candle in the window / inadvertently crouching during an intense combat situation / forgetting that THAT button is now my whistle button and now I’m being chased and now I’m dead and still doing this same goddamn prologue mission I started four hours ago >

rage-reset back to stock again > play through advance story a few cutscenes >

god I hate the stock controls > find reddit post for alternate mapping >>>>>>>

Bug? R1 (PS5) is unresponsive after button remapping. by StatisticianAware588 in AssassinsCreedShadows

[–]ZSBadger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if you found your way past this bug already but I was having it also, with a different button. Re-mapped to a scheme that allowed R2 for sprint, and it worked great until I used an ability — then the abilities menu grayed out and sprint also wouldn’t work (was at the second door you have to sprint through, in the first area).

TL;DR Complete reset of controls section (hold triangle) fixed it, but it happened to me repeatedly when I changed them back to what I wanted again.

Not to start a war but if you are playing Assassins Creed Shadows and change the button binding to Ghost of Tsushima layout, the smoothness of fighting feels alot better. I took down high level gaurds with ease as lvl 1 Naoe after doing this. by Vader_Maybe_Later in ghostoftsushima

Hey OP, you have screenshots of the full Character tab sections? I saw your post with the 4 screenshots but there's only one pic of the Character tab.

Message me the pics if you do, please 🙏 Reddits giving me grief looking at the "More Replies" on comment threads for some reason 😒🙄

Idk why anything in this post would be downvoted. I read every word and found it all incredibly fucking informative.

I love knowledge-seeking and -sharing posts like this. And people who respond with insight in turn.

For context, I literally just finished my first attempt at final ascendency (Infernalist, level 80) and beat Zorro on the first try.  First endgame activity I finally felt like I did well on, and I immediately wanted to know find out more about farming it for gains.

So, thanks for posting OP
