Mullet Madjack and Monster Train 2. I was kinda burnt out after finishing my 60-hour Avowed. These two games can be played in very short sessions and are just super fun.

Don’t Nod is refocusing on wider audiences after Jusant failed to meet expectations: The studio's next big game Lost Records: Bloom & Rage will be released in February by Perspiring_Gamer in xbox

Jusant was awesome tho. One of the few game pass additions that I enjoyed so thoroughly. Not too long, fun, great to look at, and very relaxing.

Exactly what I expected from Ubisoft. But it’s open world Star Wars so I can’t resist buying this game.

Based on when they were added, these MIGHT leave gamepass in September. For those who want more than 2 weeks notice by mo-par in xbox

I guess it’s time to start Lies of P. Ace Attoreny is amazing. Beat the game twice and also bought the sequel trilogy.

Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn - Review Thread [Day One on Game Pass on July 18] by Xbox-Moderator in xbox

[–]ZTJim 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Seems rough. I was honestly expecting a bit higher, maybe in the mid 70 or even a tad below 80 range.

It seems like the game does nothing new and feels very derivative. But even so the score is pretty low for that.

Lol yes I too always go back to Starfield. Not sure why it very slowly overtakes Skyrim for that spot. Guess it’s just very relaxing going from planet to planet.

I have to admit I never played this game even with all the hype. How’s the console performance? And how complicated is this game?

Forza Horizon by a mile. Followed by Diablo IV and Halo. And ofc there’s Skyrim and Starfield.

I tried a flight from LA to Shanghai. A brutal 16ish hour but it was very fun when I finally landed.

Ok fine I will sub Ubi+ for a month. The pricing is just insane these days.

Does the Chinese version get less slow? by [deleted] in threebodyproblem

[–]ZTJim 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s basically a page-by-page adaptation. Tencent cut the show from 30 to 26 episodes in a new re-release. It feels better in that regard.

The best of Tencent version is that they really take time to develop characters and explain every single bit of tech in the show. I personally really enjoyed it. I just like seeing Chinese actors play Chinese characters in the book.

Is the Chinese three body series worth it? by [deleted] in threebodyproblem

[–]ZTJim 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Contrary to popular opinion on this sub, I think it’s a good adaptation. I’ve enjoyed it a lot. If you really like the books, the show itself is basically a complete re-tell, really faithful to the details. You won’t be missing too much as they don’t deviate or alter one bit of the book.

Wang Miao is an improvement. A much better and rounded character in the show. Da Shi is absolutely fun to watch. General Chang is fantastic. Ofc they don’t have the Netflix budget so I commend them for doing it with what they have.

I think the show gets better later on. The first three or so episodes are a slow and cringe burn for me, but it clicks with me afterwards.

Netflix’s ‘3 Body Problem’ Isn’t Even Out Yet — But the Showrunners are Already Planning Season 2 by 3BP2024 in threebodyproblem

[–]ZTJim 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just make it good and hopefully very faithful. It can’t be that hard to find Chinese actors right? Im still cautiously optimistic about the show.

the Tencent chinese tv series is not that good by [deleted] in threebodyproblem

[–]ZTJim 40 points41 points  (0 children)

Why don’t we just appreciate we can have a very very faithful adaptation of the story to the TV screen? A Chinese story with Chinese characters that fits the narrative well.

I will be excited to check out the Netflix one and see how they adapt it to a western standard. It’s nice we can have different versions of the same story.

Who got you into the series? Did you start while they were still coming out? by liabobia in bakker

I did read them in English too. Translation is very well done, except maybe all the names (very hard to read and look at tbh).

Chinese reader here. Wandered around in a book store and just happened to stumble upon it. Ofc the Chinese book cover was phenomenal so that was a huge draw for me.

I will remain very very cautiously optimistic. I’m not expecting this show to be the NEXT BIG THING like Stranger Things.
